Generally 1 stars = 1 level so 5.5 equals inadequate to passable. Just rough guide.

4 below can throw away, but make sure you have try at all position, ie defending, winger, forward, midfield and gk.

No since he got 5.5 stars when playing as an inner midfielder and the primary skill for an inner midfielder is playmaking, so I estimate his playmaking is inadequate-passable.

Passing is a secondary skills, so difficult to estimate based on stars.

so i got a im with inad/passable kid (max potential is passable) and inad passing ... not too bad for the first kid i signed up

i thought 2.5/3 level of passing is equal to 1 level pm/winger/scoring ... only works for seniors?

Added on July 14, 2009, 5:06 pmfark ... keepers are so expensive ... solid ones are like 300k liao

Since friendly gives little experiences, would you use to train young players who didn't play in league matches even with solid winger? I have 4 young solid wingers but only two can play in league match weekly. The other two would have to play friendly which guys very little experiences. Should i consider stop training the other 2?

90 minutes league match full winger training > 90 minutes friendly match full winger training. Right?

Agreed, focus on training first. Experience is important but not as important as training.

I have found 1 5 Star forward in my youth and 2 4 stars wingers. Should i train Scoring & Passing or Scoring & Winger?

Should i train 4 stars winger or only 5 stars and above?

5 stars = passable?

I have only 1 5 star forward. Must look for another two forwards for 4-3-3 formation if i am to train forwards right?

passing helps winger as well ... i guess it depends on how old the kids are

Try to find the right spot on the team for Mazlan bin Nik, there is a lot of football in that kid. (5.5 star playmaker ... do i change his position?)

It was endearing to see Zubir bin Ali in this week's game, he really gave us all he's got. (???)

Mohd Nizam bin Jamil seems to approach the overall limit for what we can teach him at youth level. Either give him the chance in the senior team soon, or dump him. (dump him after 1 game?)

new to youth academy ... icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

5 stars, maybe inadequate to passable.

There is no need to really look for 3 forwards in youth academy as it is almost impossible unless you are really lucky. (Unlike senior team , where you can buy player). Just focus on your best potential. So depending on the age maybe your forward or winger might be your best potential.

This seems to be the best now, but how old is him, if he is 15 or 16, I'll go for him. But you may still rotate him, best during a friendly since the training will be less.

16 years and 38 days - 5 star forward

15 years and 37 days - 4 star winger

16 years and 38 days - 4 star winger.

I will rotate again to look for players with 4 - 5 stars.
