Intel Core i5 7400 - RM 854
Gigabyte B250M-D3H - RM 419
G.SKill Aegis 8GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM - RM 280
Sapphire RX470 4GB GDDR5 Nitro+ - RM 998
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 219
FSP Hexa+ 550W - RM 195
Tecware Edge - RM 149
ViewSonic VA2419-SH IPS - RM 525

Total: RM 3909 (ETECH price inclusive of GST)

Optional upgrade:
1. 120GB/240GB SSD (You may downgrade the mobo/monitor to cater the cost of the SSD if you wish to have it in the build)
2. Logitech KB/Mouse combo (if you don't have one and not interested in "gaming" KB/mouse)

Thank you!

Intel Core i7 7700 - RM 1424
Gigabyte B250M-D3H - RM 419
G.SKill Aegis Aegis 16GB (8GB x 2) DDR4 2400MHz RAM - RM 560
Palit GTX1060 6GB GDDR5 Dual - RM 1229
Kingston SSDNow UV400 240GB SSD - RM 375
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM 219
Superflower Leadex Silver 550W - RM 359
Tecware Edge - RM 149
ViewSonic VA2419-SH IPS - RM 525

Total: RM 5259 (ETECH price inclusive of GST)

To keep within your budget, you may do one of these (or more):
1. Downgrade the PSU
2. Downgrade the mobo
3. Get a 120GB SSD instead of 240GB
4. Downgrade to 8GB RAM

etc.

Thanks for the suggestion! biggrin.gif

Always base performance first before adding SSD. Also, Transcend 220S will blow Kingston UV400 away. I think there is a price hike on Trancend SSDs though.

Let's say I don't want to have SSD in this built (or only getting 120GB for OS/Essentials), which part i can spend more to enhance the performance further?

It's either GTX1060 6GB or RX480 8GB with that budget range.

GTX1060 performs better in DX11/OpenCL games (~95% of the titles in the market now).

RX480 performs better in DX12/Vulkan games (only few titles but it is increasing slowly).

Graphic card. Next level for CPU is significantly more expensive. Need to change to overclockable motherboard and adding heatsink.

So far this is what Ideal Tech offered me for RM7069, I was wondering do I need to upgrade the RAM into GSKILL RipjawsV RED 2x8GB DDR4 2800mhz (CL15)/(CL16) for RM649 and the PSU into FSP Hydro G 650W (80+GOLD/Full MODULAR)*5 Years Warranty (Entitled for Red Green Match VI RM50 Rebates) for RM499.

If you play other games too, especially triple A titles then you are recommended to focus more on GPU (dump the SSD idea and go for GTX1060 6GB or RX480 8GB) first.

RAM - 8GB is enough but will run of out memory in no time if you don't practice memory management at all, i.e. few Chrome/FF tabs can take away half of your available memory already, 16GB is recommended for this case (not mandatory though as Windows will remove inactive apps from the memory if it is not enough or use virtual memory).

PSU - I have no idea why they always push that PSU model to their customer, RM 349 for a non-modular and unknown internal component quality (barely got any review online), why take the risk? Superflower Leadex Silver is obviously a better choice here within the same price range. And yes I do recommend you to top up your budget a bit for a better PSU in this case.

Oh and about the Wireless adapter, is it sufficient to use the TL-WN881ND (300Mbps Wireless N PCI Express Adapter) listed there in terms of stability and connection range ?

World of Warcraft heavily favors Nvidia. GTX1060 3GB is recommended instead.

If latency is on top of priority then ethernet connection is recommended, otherwise it is fine, if your router is 5GHz capable then you may consider getting the dual band model instead.

Good insight, but if it is played on a 60Hz monitor then it doesn't really matter since it is able to output 90+ FPS in average ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's preset Level 7 out of 10. Last 3 significantly increases the requirements.

Yeah, I'm running GTX 1070 at Level 8. Level 9 a bit lag already.

can I know some feedback about Acer KG240A RM999 144hz 1ms monitor compared to the BENQ 24" XL2411 ?
I've asked like 5-6 resellers like ideal tech, etech, dota tech, and all of them are out of stock for the BENQ 24" XL2411 monitor. I guess I'm out of choice and have to consider the acer monitor, so I would like to know if its good enough.
