LRT would be your best option.

Not necessary need to park at Nu Sentral, I think parking might be full parked by full and half marathoners.

Just park at nearest putra LRT or Star LRT station to ur place.

What's your normal morning pre-run food n drink?

There are toilet in Dataran Merdeka and few in each water station if I'm not wrong
Best is look at the handbook route
Everything is labelled inside

portion wise, start small... best if can stimulate race day situation.
nobody can tell you the right amount as we have different body situation.

trying is the only way to minimize risk.

yes, it is risky to wear new shoes for 42km marathon as your shoe have not break-in.
