QUOTE(Dakaa @ Jun 30 2017, 05:52 PM) I have a dead serious question here. I do run 8km each session for 3 times a week, on and off for 2 years now, my pace has always been 7-8km/h. My question is how can I achieve 20km? My best distance is 13km. Besides weekday running session, do one LSD, Long Slow Distance run at weekend, don't worry about the speed. This may improve your distance gradually.

QUOTE(scoop7 @ Jul 5 2017, 01:10 PM) have you try the Merrell Bare Access? Nope, everyone foot is difference and foot pronation, better test it yourself. Since you are looking for zero-drop , this could be close.

QUOTE(90Boyz @ Jul 5 2017, 06:53 PM) how much was your budget ? Below RM200. I already search from net/FB, Black Diamond/Fenix (mid range) quite attractive, any comments about this two brands? I saw from lazada, Energizer 150lumen is below RM70....... is it reliable? This post has been edited by psiloveu: Jul 6 2017, 08:30 AM

I been to Cultra 100k and with my experience i can tell you , without 150lumens above specs headlight you most likely will get lost in the Berembun sections.. at that forest at night time was pitch black, so high lumens headlight will help you find your way out from there also to save your time to avoid going to the wrong junction what i can recommend on the Black diamond were Spot & storm series and Fenix HL55 For energizer you can use it but be prepared to spare more battery in your pocket This post has been edited by 90Boyz: Jul 6 2017, 05:30 PM

I also talked to my Sabahan friend just now and he did point out the same issue, he recommended me to get at least 200 lumen. I saw my FB fren : Choi CC, promotion for black diamond cosmo (160lumen), and Sam Law Fenix HL15. I think I need to revise my budget for higher lumen headlamp.

Anyhow be ready more battery as you may start at early as 3:45am so running in the dark most likely will kill alot of battery tho.

I also trying now to increase from 5km to 8km now ... Hmm.. not too much too soon to prevent unnecessary injury, 10% increment (conservative) as many have said. You know your body better. You can start off with weekend LSD 10km since you have run 8km , try weekly LSD run for a month, then following month increase LSD to 12-15km; subsequent month - 15-18km , and so forth. If can't progress to the distance, maintain the same LSD distance for a month. No hurry, knowing your body well and you will be there at 21km sooner or later.
