Sometimes I just wanna play fighting games, I dont wanna drag out the heavy Corsair Lapdog just to log into my VR rig, so I use the keyboard add-on on the XBONE Elite Wireless controller to log in. I left my Steam running on Big Picture Mode, so there's no need to use a mouse at all once I log in.

Gears of War 4. Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Battlefield 1. Forza Horizon 3. Titanfall 2. South Park: The Fractured But Whole. Watch Dogs 2. Dishonored 2.

Not to mention more hours to be sunk into Doom, Witcher 3, Killer Instinct, Street Fighter V, and Rise of The Tomb Raider to complete them.

Nope. The opposite is more likely to me: With No Man's Sky, and all these games coming out, I need more hours in a day to play them.

Buy a controller for SFV. Witcher 3's addon DLCs as well as RoTTR DLCs as well are worth playing. If Hitman 2016 wasnt episodic, I'd be playing that as well, I dont wanna support their business model.

It sounds like you're limited to your funds to purchase the games or the means(have to buy controllers, etc) to play the games you wanna play rather than "there's nothing to play anymore".

why bother upgrading when everything also lazy then? Personally to me, if a hobby doesn't interest me anymore, it's time to move on. In your case, maybe get married? Or if you already are, then have more kids. Not being sarcastic or anything here. I see lots of people lose interest in their hobbies and start looking for something else to do in life. That usually meant having a family. To each his own. Marriage is like a jail sentence to me.

Or expand your horizon. Why Doom doesn't appeal to you? Why games most people are engaged in aren't "engaging" to you? Have you tried them before you formed that opinion that they're not engaging? If you have not, perhaps it's best to try them before saying it's not for you? I'm a huge Doom/Quake fan myself, but I don't restrict myself to only those kinds of games. Especially when iD Software are rarely releasing games these days, I gave COD/BF/SW:BF/Arma a try and love them for their own unique qualities. I don't like them as much as I love Doom/Quake though. Never restrict yourself, give them a try first.

I used to hate indie games, until I tried Journey, Limbo, Deadlight, Inside and ABZU. I look at these from the graphical standpoint and they don't stand out. But I gave Limbo and Inside a try and despite their simple looks, they're as engaging as those heated moments in BF4 or Gears of War. I was hooked, I was engrossed. I learned my lessons there.

I will however, refuse to play a game that is PURELY online without a single player or story narrative. I held back from getting SFV because of that. I do not play Overwatch. Nor do I play DOTA2. Tried them and hated them because of their purely online characteristics. I play Gears of War online, and yet I hated Overwatch. I am OBSESSIVE with Command & Conquer back in the days, playing LAN games wiring our hostel blocks with blue Ethernet cables across out computers the night before big test the next day, and yet I hate DOTA2 (they not be the same, but stil.....). I'm not a team player, or I play by my own rules, not when others want me to play like how they are. Nor do I wanna play a game that because of me, or my inadequacies and weakness, it brings the whole team down. Nope, no thanks. I rather be engrossed in No Man's Sky, where the success and failure in that game is wholly dependant on me, and me alone. If I fail, it's because of me, if I succeed, ditto.
