The market is open for physical case mods. The problem with the scene in Malaysia is that the makers here for case mods require minimum order quantity, treating it like your run-of-the-mill Ikea business model instead of catering to the creativity and personalized customized ideas of the customer.

Malaysians are also not into hardware modding, we're not like the Americans whom are more like to have a garageful of tools and machines. Malaysian "porches" (no garages in Malaysia) are full of Protons and Peroduas collecting debts. tongue.gif

I meant physical case mods. Not spray paints. Like cutting them into shapes and turning case portions into unique designs.

Spray-painting is easy. I spray-painted laptop covers with automobile car paints before.

Then there's the option to work with acrylics and acetals (for custom designed waterblocks and liquid flow panels) , copper (liquid tubings), and other exotic materials as well as electroluminescent panels(for elaborate custom internal lighting NOT SHAPED like an LED strip) and transparent displays (for custom see through side panels with option of projecting custom animated graphics). simple designs are workable with acrylics, but getting work done with copper tubings for example, nobody dared to. I had planned a steampunk-ish themed gaming rig before, but the reluctance of local builders working with copper to do so, killed the project. If I can't even get folks to agree to work on copper, the more elaborate ones involving acetals, EL panels and transparent display are even more alien and unlikely to get worked on.

they're niche, yes. But I'm not asking for a complete store buildup, I'm asking for an option to do so. Everything here in Malaysia involves manufacturer's three favorite/dreaded alphabets: MOQ. No minimum order, no go. Even when the person attempting the niche is willing to pay. The problem with MOQ is that, build quality based on items mass-manufactured are not exceptional, they are just serviceable. I want exceptional, not serviceable.

Good luck on that. Titan X Pascal ain't the type of items people buy just for fun and let go for fun as well. It's also not the type of graphics card that people around here wanna hock and slaughter price for, the cards are most definitely purchased for their own use or spoken for already. I certainly know that I do not plan to part with mine.

Ah, I know who you are. There's a reason why I've blocked you on Facebook. Off to the the ignore list here too!

I made the mistake of thinking Jay was a reliable source of info as well. Turns out he's nothing but someone who'd do anything to get hardware sponsors with reviews that skews the hardwares he's getting sponsored with as "reliable".

Trust those who BUYS their own hardwares instead of getting them for free from sponsors. Those who BUYS their own stuff will definitely get more vocal and genuine in their impressions because their own hard-earned money flowed out to get these hardwares.

isnt that the point? sweat.gif

ive never trusted any youtube reviewer ever since theyre obviously sponsored

how is it that every youtuber seem to recommend X product although there are loads that are as good? coincidence? i think not

which is why user reviews are pretty much the most spot on (ie. at overclock.net)
*
Not all of them are sponsored. Some start off their career in Youtube purchasing the products themselves.

Heh, even when user reviews are more likely to be true, people do take them skeptically as well. I bitched and complained about the R9 290X being an oven, and I get called an Nvidia shill. Sometimes people only wanna see things the way they wanna see. They wanna believe in things so badly that anything slightly faulted towards their favorite brands and they lash out in such passionate blind fury, as if I killed their families with a drone strike. laugh.gif

Despite the reality of those, any "untoward" impressions toward AMD, I was branded that unfortunately. It's an easy for someone like me who had no problems with Nvidia cards labeled as a shill, when the intention was giving AMD a chance. And a chance I gave it all, with long reservoir tube filled with liquid coolant too.

Naaaaaah, it's easier to label me as an Nvidia shill, more convenient. No loose ends. wink.gif

I've been using GeForce Experience 3.0 since it was still beta, not a problem there whatsoever. The interface is slicker and the driver delivery is on a native that resides in the app itself. Cant comment of setting optimization feature of the app, since I always find out that the optimization is always on the conservative side, meaning they always set it to settings lower than what I can run. You dont run games on "High" or "Medium" on a Titan X Pascal. tongue.gif

Also, I dont use ShadowPlay. Framerate counter I use either Steam's own, or RivaTuner. RivaTuner has better option of showing more metrics than GFE's anyway.

Fraps vs Rivatuner which is better hmm.gif

Rivatuner.

FRAPS is more universal though, works with everything. But has been knows to cause weird glitches and performance penalty on certain games.

Are you a gamer or nvidia staff or reviewer? Your rig very badass.
*
Yes, I'm a gamer. I wish I'm an Nvidia staff. No I'm not a reviewer. I'm just someone whose passionate about how his rig looks when it holds so much power. More often than not, people's budget ran out right after their builds are assembled and the look doesn't match the specs. If that's the case why not just chuck it into a beige case with tons of fans and call it a day.

Thank you, that rig is a collaborative effort with the brilliant guys at LucroPC. Design, manufacturing, custom modding, custom parts, assembly, software tweaks and overclocking, the list never ends.

There's a light at the end of the tunnel. Only need 2 more finishing touches, anot overclocked level I can settle with, and I'll consider it done. Currently testing it to run at 4.6Ghz overclock on that i7 5930K and +200/+500 on core clock and memory clock respectively to get peaks at 2088Mhz core clock and 11000Mhz memory clock running stable and not throttling down thank to its rock solid and stable temperature at 60C on both Titan XPs, with CPU never going above 60C on gaming loads as well.

Currently number 94 on the 3DMark Firestrike Ultra Hall of Fame world leaderboard, although I'm sure I can do better.

Core i7 5930K overclocked to 4.6Ghz, 32GB Corsair Dominator Pro DDR4-3200 RAM, dual Nvidia Titan X Pascals in SLI overclocked to 2050Mhz core clock/10800Mhz memory clock, Samsung 950 Pro M2 NVME with read speeds clocking in at 2.5GB/s. Temperature or CPU and GPUs never exceeding 60C during 3840x2160 gaming on Acer Predator G-Sync 4K 60Hz XB280HK, although I'm planning to gaming on the Asus ROG SWIFT 3440x1440 100Hz G-Sync PG348Q 34inch ultrawide monitor.

All games from Crysis 3, SW Battlefront, Doom, ...right up to The Witcher 3 ran at 4K above 60fps on all settings maximum. The Witcher 3 ran 71-80fps with all setting maximum, Crysis 3 ran a ludicrous 135-140fps all settings maximum, while SW Battlefront and Doom sped ahead at 180fps and beyond in 4K. I had to frame cap some of the games to 60fps in 4K because of the excessive tearing at those triple digits framerates. Too much graphical processing power. tongue.gif

I was surprised myself when the artist who did that airbrushing on the back panel completed his work. I was looking for the edges to see if it's a sticker. tongue.gif

Congrats for being able to play games at 4k above 60fps on all settings at maximum.

That is my dream but seems like I will have to wait forawhile for that as I have never done SLI with my GPU setup.
*
Cheers, thanks! I gave myself lots of leeway with those framerates recorded. Should be a lot more breathing room once I shift to the ultrawide instead of 4K since pixel count on ultrawide is less.

Using Switch 820 side panel. I like the cut of that panel and it's made to show most of the finishings inside the rig. Not into glass panels.

Beauty shots coming soon. It's the side panel of Switch 810. Fits nicely with the Phantom 820. Side panel and back panel.

Another 90% negative comment wasting money / so expensive but only facebook and minecraft / I can built better with that budget etc  bangwall.gif

Already facing that in the Facebook group I posted in. I'll just take it that deep inside those negative thoughts lies jealousy. Of course they'll deny that too with the standard responses.

QUOTE(marfccy @ Sep 22 2016, 09:33 PM)
Random note though, i think you can push more on the memory speeds, 11GHz isnt hard at all wink.gif
*
Not when you have two to push for. I've made t pass 11Ghz before but at lower core clocks. I don't believe the bandwidth's the problem here, core overclocks bears better jump in performance than memory overclocks. The rig is still being tuned and stressed, I may wanna try to get to that 11Ghz mark. But looking at the triple digit FPS I get with what I already overclocked now, I'm not sure if I wanna push for more. Maybe for placement in the Hall of Fame in 3DMark, but eventually I'll definitely settle for a lower more stable clocks.

I was number 94 in Firestrike Ultra 2X Hall of Fame leaderboard yesterday, already dropped to 96 today. Not gonna bother chasing placement when I can enjoy games more.
