In my case I think more FPS will be detrimental. I'm already running triple digit FPS and my monitor only supports 4K60 on G-Sync. Outside of 60fps, G-Sync doesn't work, and I'll have to rely on either Adaptive or Fast Sync with aren't robust enough to prevent tearing. And trust me, tearing at high framerates isn't pretty.
