In my case I think more FPS will be detrimental. I'm already running triple digit FPS and my monitor only supports 4K60 on G-Sync. Outside of 60fps, G-Sync doesn't work, and I'll have to rely on either Adaptive or Fast Sync with aren't robust enough to prevent tearing. And trust me, tearing at high framerates isn't pretty.

I mentioned it in that FB group, I welcome opinions and critiques to help me improve, trolling or the usual posts that designed to rile up angry responses from me without any constructive basis gets an ignore or a block from me. Just for shits and giggles, I ran Nvidia DSR running at 6880x2880, effectively 7K resolution, on Grand Theft Auto V on these settings, everything maximum except AA, at 7K pixels are so small, no jaggies are visible.

No sweat for the rig. tongue.gif

Still 60fps and above.

Inb4 next year's GTX1180 that matches or rivals the Titan X Pascal at half the price. If you wait long enough, 4 years from now, you can get a TXP performance card for USD199 even. Should you be calling those who bought Titans unhappy then? Nope. We got there first. Murcielago versus Proton, baby. Both get to their destinations just fine, just at different experience and different length of time. wink.gif

Not to mention I'll be playing games unrestricted 2-4 years earlier than you do, while you're stuck with games that's restricted by your card, or you can't even play graphics intensive games and choose to play simpler ones like Killing Floor or Rocket League because your card isn't capable enough.

Also, looking at the price range, USD799 -USD1199. Most probably this 1080Ti will be at the price YOU pay for the previous Titan, at USD999. LOL, teh irony! Or are you not even getting one and just here to poke? blush.gif

Urgh. GFWL. That platform left a bad taste in my mouth. I lost many games because of that, because the transition over from GFWL to Steam wasn't working as smooth as expected.

And now they have Win10 store, and I'm already repeating the same mistake. tongue.gif What can I do when the games I wanted are available only on that platform? [Quantum Break, Killer Instinct, Gears of War 4, Forza Motorsports 6, Forza Motorsports Apex, Forza Horizon 3]. FH3 is freaking awesome though, never do you feel like you're grinding for credits or points, it just comes with so much fun diversions and gameplay. Not to mention looking absolutely gorgeous at everything maximum! thumbup.gif

Tried launching it from your Start shortcut? Or Steam itself. That's an old version of GFE, maybe that's why it's not working.

you can try searching for that game's .exe file in that Steamapp folder. And then create a shortcut on desktop. but it wont fix your Steam launching error. Only way I see is uninstalling Steam and reinstall again. Did you opt for beta Steam, or did you opt out?

It's for the VR rig running in the living room. I'm tired of the card clocking down every time it hits 83C. Together with the Phanteks P400S sound dampening and everything running under water, this should keep the temperature and noise in check.

Actually it's pretty deceiving. It will reset zero, but the download will decrease in size once the Store has calculated that you have downloaded a portion of the game earlier and paused/restarted/rebooted earlier. I had that with Killer Instinct and Forza Horizon 3. At least that was my experience with those two Windows 10 exclusive games.
