Agreed with what you said. Bought my Submariner last month and the sales executive informed me that they aren't allowed to sell it below a certain price but could sell it at any price above the tag.

Was looking for a submariner with date and a few shops were quoting me RM33,500 and one of the dealers around KL quoted me RM36,800 and claimed that prices would be going up again within the next few weeks. Started bullshitting around that the demand is extremely high and Rolex sent a notice of wanting to increase their price within a month. It's now more than a month and they still haven't increased anything and that clearly shows that he was trying to bullshit and squeeze customers.

Told him that I was willing to do a full payment and he slashed the price to 35K immediately. Asked him how the hell he could suddenly provide me with a 5% discount and he claimed that would be the price that he offers to customers i they paid by cash. Told my parents to stop wasting their time and money and ill find another dealer.

I went back to the same dealer the next day and the staff that quoted me previously RM36,800 (RM35,000 by cash) wasn't there. Had another Sales Executive that served me and she quoted RM34,800 if i wished to pay by card.
Clearly shows that the dealers are over inflating the price.
End of the day, went to a different AD and bought a submariner.

You don't maslan, you have 3 seiko boxes so not considered newbie already

Base on your experience, i guess it's the SP that inflate the price instead of the AD since price quoted by 2 AD of the same store is different.
I doesn't quite like the idea of inflation due to high demand, guest i'll just put the BLNR purchase on-hold for now.

My friend did get a black submariner with date back in Nov 2016 for Rm 33,500 at Bangsar's Rolex boutique.

Im starting to feel a little bit lazy to wind my speedmaster daily. The crown is a bit positioned too close to the crown guard and it sort of hurt the finger after winding for a whilem

i know i may have said i wanted another manual winding watch...but now im not so sure anymore.

You get used to winding it. I struggled when I first got my Speedy as well.

40 winds when first picking it up. 25-30 winds every morning after that if wearing as a daily. Takes less than 10 seconds.
