QUOTE(starz92 @ Apr 15 2017, 01:35 PM) Hi, sorry I am new here but I am looking for ways to increase and stabilise my internet speed. Currently being tortured by streamyx unstable internet connection eventhough I paid for their 8mbps package. Can this be a solution to my problem? I stay at high rise town area in Penang (Don't need hypptv) this is the issue with tm copper line.. im not sure.. if someone willing to loan ERpoE5 to you... might be solve.. else, the issue with the cable itself.. less congested also lagging all the time.. |

QUOTE(starz92 @ Apr 15 2017, 09:45 PM) Sorry i am unfamiliar with the technical term but i have an idea like this. If i apply for a unifi line at a friend place and beam the connection via WiFi to my place is it doable ? Can a house apply for 2 unifi line ? Or maybe one Streamyx and one unifi line ? you can use in that way.... then create wireless bridge from his house to ur house. it is possible.... then terminate streamyx. |

QUOTE(yltyet @ Jul 5 2017, 09:46 AM) Dear all sifus here, I wanna ask is anyone of you using LBE-5AC-23 Ubiquiti LiteBeam AC 5GHz 23dBi AirMax CPE WiFi UBNT Bridge before? erm... do you want to provide internet from building A to building B and C? so means total gt 3 building right What I'm trying to do is this:- - use it to beam(LBE 1) the signal from TIME 500mbps Building A to Building B which is 1km distance (view from google maps) - Building B receive the signal(LBE 2) and transmit it to another unit of LBE-5AC-23(LBE 3) by using CAT6 Cable - (LBE 3) will beam the signal to Building C (LBE 4) which is 1.2km distance (view from google maps). Anyone has done this setup before? Please advice whether it will works or not and also advice on setup guide if can.. Thanks all sifus.. why not from PtMP setup. straight give internet from A to B and C as long as clear LOS. but C is 2.5km away from building A... it still can be done.. |

QUOTE(yltyet @ Jul 5 2017, 10:28 AM) I'm not so sure about PTMP setup, will it affect the speed or signal? For example I'm subscribing 500mbps Internet, how much will it left in Building C? A and B (PTP) then B and C (PTP)And then, my current setup is building B will has 2 unit of LBE-5AC-23 which 1 unit going to do receiving then send signal to another unit by using CAT6 network cable.. Please advice.. Thanks well.. why not do A to B and C at same time (PtMP) LBE 5AC-23 as station usage will maximized its potential. well, you can control the bandwidth how much you want provide for both of the building. and block some of streaming website (this more likely on network management). i suggesting you use rocket with antenna (sold separately) as AP. |

QUOTE(yltyet @ Jul 6 2017, 09:56 AM) Wow.. Thanks for your suggestion.. oh is it.. too bad.. well, since you do it in this way.. im not sure how efficient is the bandwidth that transfer through it.... so, before you mounting those Litebeam, i suggesting you to unbox them and upgrade their firmware first. Then, You need pairing each of them by ptp.I really like your idea and also learn something from you from our conversation.. The problem now is I already bought 4 units of LBE-5AC-23 AirMax, so might only stick to the old plan.. so regret that i did not find this forum earlier... T_T BUT, i still hope you can advice me on the setup using 4 LBE units if can .. ehehhe... Thanks |

QUOTE(ncys1 @ Jul 11 2017, 08:01 PM) I'd like to get a recommendation on what product(s) I should be getting for a home office environment. ER Lite is enough...I currently have ideas for something like this. CODE BTU -> EdgeRouter -> Switch (probably a 24-port TP-Link unmanaged) -> UAP AC LR (x2) |______> Clients Which EdgeRouter should I get? I'm currently on a UniFi 30Mbps link. I would like to be able to use OpenVPN on the router and have rock-solid stability. As of now my ASUS RT-N14UHP keeps dropping out when I'm torrenting. Any help would be much appreciated. |

QUOTE(GumballAdventure @ Aug 6 2017, 05:58 PM) Do I need to subscribe to isp to use this kind of networks? ISP means internet service provider such as TM, maxis, TIME... how bout maxis fiber?I just wonder because right now my home does not have any kind of internet. TM says that the port in my area is full. so I'm kind of searching for another way to get the internet in my house. |

QUOTE(jasonhor @ Sep 13 2017, 09:30 PM) Need some advice. I'm planning to deploy 3x UAP-AC-PRO to cover my 4000sf office. Er Lite-3 support maxis fiber.. no issue.. even TIME and Tm also can be use... just need know vlan tagging. update to latest firmware and you will see option for vlan tagging... since Erlite have limitted port... and u want deploy 3 AC pro... maybe u can go for use dumb switch (which is cheapest) to give u extra portI have Maxis Fibre fixed IP. For router side, I can't decide to go with Mikrotik or ERLite-3. Can any pro advise? I not sure read some where mentioned ERLite-3 not support PPPoE, which I find not very logic. |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Sep 20 2017, 11:25 PM) They are not in the same league, they are much more expensive as well. Not to mention that you need a controller to unlock the full potential of those system. UBNT is more on SME I believe. i read 1 in community forum saying AC HD performance worst than ac pro, reported by some user.... but, time to time, few patches. and active development, there is 1 forumer saying AC HD is 10x times performance than AC PRo.. someone setup school project or event.. using UAP AC HD (1 unit) handle over 200 active user simultaneouslyI heard the new AC HD from UBNT is pretty good performance wise. May use it to replace some older Ruckus if it is that good. |
