I think it might be possible. U can add additional firewall rules/dhcp(ofcz)/masquerade. Use vlans if ur using lite. But if u have the x, it should be straight forward enough. Let me know if u progress. I havent touched my er lite for almost a year now cz its been working non flaw since i moved it to my parents house. I could definitely replicate that setup with my mtik tho.

im using streamyx right now 8MB. Have lots of IOT device using Wifi to be deployed into my future home. Currently testing fews stuffs on my current house. All switches, bulbs will be wifi enable. On my current setup after changing to 2 Wifi/Router/AP i found out the wifi connection is not really stable. Sometime my Google Homes, Echo Dots cannot reconnect to wifi requiring AP reboot. Was using TM net supplied AP/Wifi/Router/Modem and curently DLink with huge antenna. Still the same ..
Question 1) Would Unifi AP solve my prob
Question 2) Can i use my current Dlink and configure as bridge so that Edgerouter can dial in Pppoe ? or do i need to buy dumb streamyx modem just for this?
Question 3) mu future home is 2 stories bungalow around 4000 Sqf . 2 Unifi Ac pro can cover whole house?

Question 4)I am running my home automation server . Will setting port forwarding easy enough for Unifi router?

Does anyone know how to setup HyppTV with USG and US-8-60W?
I just bought these two equipment recently and managed to get the USG to perform PPPoE through WAN port with VLAN500.
However, I've searched through almost all articles and posts but still have no idea how to setup HyppTV with the switch and USG.

I've tried setting up the required networks through VLAN-Only but the HyppTV STB is getting DHCP IP address from the USG instead of TM. Thus, the connection cannot be made and no image is showing.

let say i change to unifi security gateway , connect to my Dlink Modem/wifi/router - turn off wifi and set it to bridge mode. can streamyx works this way?

I would like to use Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X To replace TIME Fiber Broadband current TP Link Archer Router. It looks like in the settings that there is no need to tag any VLAN and just PPPOE Authentication.

Any sifu here can assist me in this matter?

any real benefits of cloud key vs docker? from what i see it still does the same job except for the manual updates for the latter.

i would recommend sublime. they are cheap and responsive compared to syncrowed.

Question:

1. Would the Unifi AP wireless coverage be affected if I were to place it facing upwards the ceiling, rather than downfiring from the ceiling ? I'm trying to avoid any drilling on the concrete ceiling slab, not to mention the wiring too

2. As I am using Powerline as the main backbone around the house, do I need to have a separate PoE injector ? Does it come with the Unifi AP ?

It is also a speaker after all
