if there is no stock than im not gonna buy a lappy for another 1/2 year coz so far i cant find other brands tht match benq's S73g price and specs..i like benq as im using joybook 5000 which i bought almost 4 years ago and still serving me well but is time to upgrade lorh.

Hi Guys,

i just bought the BenQ S71VW
But having some problem here.. need your guys assistance.

First time when the shop person installed OS (Vista Home Premium), it was unable to shut down and restart. Then he reformat my PC and reinstall.

Now, i can't access to Windows Live Messenger. i downloaded and installed the 8.1 version.

but when i try to open up the program, it doesn't appear anything (double click on live messenger but nothing appear and happened) . I had remove and reinstall even redownload from other pages like microsoft, download.com. but still having the same problem.

Second thing is, when i open the webcam companion 2 and choose either monitor, capture or video, the application will hang there and unable to close.

Also the mouse pointer sometimes are lagging. My RAM is 1.5GB.

Could you help me out on the above queries?

Ur hardisk got problem or not? Better take back to the person who sold u.

that fellow said is not because of the machine..should be the Vista problem wor..

anyone of you tried installing osx86 on the s73? the osx86 wiki states no succesfull installation as of yet

the salesman tipu u izzit? yes ur model comes with a ori vista which bears the code VW ..so it is fully compatible wit vista ..reformat or reload ur vista means that everything will be clean and smooth wherelse u jus reformat and got such problem ? the vista is no problem ..the problem is ur notebook ..hardware problem ..according to your spec ..it will not hang just like tat ..so do take back to BenQ service center at LowYay plaza to check ..

Sorry, i think the correct model is S71V which doesn't comes with Vista.
the sales install the pirated one.. he says is because of the pirated OS, tat's y got problem..

but S71V - the V means that it is Vista Preloaded wo ...tat is how BenQ codes works.. oic ...ya i guess u have to reformat ur notebook ..try find sumone that is familiar with this install ..and try use another installer dvd ..cheers .. remember to use vista drivers that can be downloaded from benq websites ..

er ..msia got sell S71 ? can i knoe the specs ?i tot urs is S73 ..
