All sifus, if I wait till Oct 28th for Sep spending cashback, then I terminate the card at Oct 31st, so the bank will pay me back the cash back in cash? or it will burn?
*
most likely burn.

what's best for you (and us) is to utilize the card for something else to offset the cashback.

e.g. cashback in 28 Oct = RM100, without any other outstanding. then go swipe for something worth RM100, to zerorize the card balance. you dont owe bank, bank dont owe you. then call CS to cancel the card.

But i call to CS and they claimed it's considered as government bangwall.gif . I will try to swipe in October and update here. notworthy.gif Thanks for your reference.
*
dont care what CS "claimed".

swipe at ptptn counter, then call CS to verify the MCC associated to the transaction. that's as accurate as it gets.

With the revised benefits, it won't be 5% as you need to consider the rm169.6 of AF. Also, the another rm1000 you won't be getting any points. So getting cash back cards for selected categories and rest of transactions with points collection that later you can exchange for things you need such as cash vouchers.
*
what points collection?

But some merchants still charge on 3%, looks like we can report on such merchants.
*
QUOTE(MeToo @ Sep 28 2016, 04:16 PM)
THis is not necessarily a godo thing as most CC benefit will be reduce accordingly.

Merchant however will not offer u cheaper stuff just cause its reduced from 1.1% to 0.5%
*
problem is always on the merchant's side.

even without cc surcharge or hidden markup for cc usage, they will find other excuses to increase price (e.g. petrol price, GST, etc etc)

do we still go by the preferred class and min 10 transactions or just need atleat 2k per month?

the adv is misleading. 2k for 10% rebates, max 100.  that means only 5%.

Can we do like this.

RM1k on the non category
RM1k on the preferred.

Do we still get RM100 rebate?
*
which adv is misleading oh?

it has always been 1 qualifer and 1 cashback condition:

Qualifier: Minimum 10x RM50 RM2,000 posted retail spend in a calendar month.

Cashback: 10% cashback on chosen spend categories, up to maximum RM100.

hence, your suggestion is the best to maximize cashback vs qualifier. of course, effectively cashback is just 5% or possibly lesser, depending on your spending.

where to check the list of lucky person who entitle for this weekend 50% rebate?
*
ask HLB.

this is invitation to participate, do u think they published all the names? no privacy? pdpa? there is no consent from selected customers to publish their names out.

unless this is winner's list whereby campagin T&Cs stated winners' names will be published in website, i.e. you're already given consent when participating the campagin and won something.

5.9 The list of the Eligible Cardholders who are entitled for the Cash Back will be published at the
HLB’s Website at www.hlb.com.my (“HLB’s Website”) and the Cash Back will be credited into the
Eligible Cardholders’ Credit Card Account within eight (8) weeks after the conclusion of the
Campaign.

*
you're kidding, right?

campaign ending: 26 Feb 2017

cashback credit: within 8 weeks AFTER campaign ended.

winner's list: guess...

Anyone has requested to changed statement date and facing matter below ??

My statement on 5th, called on 4/10 requested to change statement date on every 1st of the month as confirmed by CS start from next month as expected to be like this.

However, today already 6/10, but still, my statement have yet to be generated as I can see from online banking.

Can I assume that my latest statement will be release on 1st Nov (mean combination of two months payment) ??
*
yes correct, you'll get 1 Nov bill smile.gif

happened to me last month.

you effectively delayed ~1 month's bill thumbup.gif seems that the moment we confirmed bill date change, it's effective immediately, even when your next bill date is next day!

Old or new also based on posting date and using calendar month, nothing to do with statement date.

Haha... never know that this can be happened to "delay" one month bill..

Thanks for your confirmation ! smile.gif

here, give you more thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

cashback is the same. however...... the transactions for 'previous' statement month will not be tagged (category). only new statement month's tx will be tagged.

Since tagging is done during bill gen, the tagging only cover statement period not whole statement.

fyi, my new 4th Oct statement below...
