i reckon the service interval for ATF is 40k km. If you do for 20k km, you are doing a good deed for your gearbox as such practice prolong the life span of it, slightly.

Anyone dismantled 3rd row seat permanently? Is that DIY-able? How much additional boot space do you get over there?

Why dont you put carpet there and you cannot see the seat anymore.

If you dismantled 3rd row, the bonnet shape will be akward i guess since not flat anymore

Folded seat does not give much boot space imo. If you put boot cover, you can only put things as high as the 2nd seat.

In the service book it says every 40k km but i do mine in every 20k km.
ATF fluid is quite important to prolong AT lifespan.

I am not sure what other purpose you need, but I agreed with Cleaner where folding it down and get a 'carpet' to cover whole area (which is what I did too).

You can try take out the seats if needed, but it wont be flat. I have carried things above the height of the seat but not recommended as can't see anything with rear view mirror. I used it short distance within taman only.

Thanks. I asked about permanently dismantle 3rd row seat because I see by just folding it, the 'boot' space is still small (seems less than 500 ltr). Just curious whether can dismantle 3rd row seat to gain more storage space than 500 ltr...

*with boot cover, can only store as high as the grey area.

Asking in this forum in case someone did that before and can share.

Ya true there's no best in both world.

My Ceramic pads does gives some advantage in terms of heat handling, down hill genting with 3 passengers still able to get brake pedal feel though you know its over-heating and also after 45k km of hard braking usage still have more than 60%.

My next sets would be TRW semi-metallic pads and disc with just under 200 MYR .

Hope it doesn't wear off my disc rotors too soon. Hehe
*
RM200 for TRW brake pad + rotor?

OMG that's a good deal....i wanna stock up....

I can only offer these as the price below:-
Brake Pad Front [DTEC] - RM130 (Ceramic)
Brake Pad Front - RM90
Brake Rotor Front - RM230

Before pass my alza to my friend, already clock 190k km, maintenance wise

1. Change all 4 tyre 3 times
2. Change front brake pad 3 times
3. Change full set absorber with mounting at 100k km
4. Change atf every 20k or 30k km
5. Normal service every 10k km
6. Numerous times change headlight and foglamp bulb before installing voltage stabilizer and grounding cable
7. Change floorboard carpet due to water seep in from buzzer wiring

Iinm my alza dont have any other big issue

To improve wind noise and sound insulation, me do

1. Install door sound proofing
2. Install extra rubber weatherstrip at all 4 door

Satisfy with my alza during my usage eventhough cannot compare with my opel zafira becoz different segment

I'm facelift SE user. Now 83+k km
1st set tyre till about 73k km
Change one fog lamp bulb and one headlight bulb (able to claim from sc ?)
Two sets of brake pads from outside sc.
Rattling solved quite early, now no more
Middle row seat adjustment lever screw came out twice. Now ok.
No modification. All is fine till now smile.gif
Service and price is acceptable.
