QUOTE(teamjoker @ Aug 6 2016, 01:37 PM) I think have to put warning on first page. I kena from outside mechanic. Uses the red cap SP3. Even the spare part shop says its the correct oil. WARNING, ALZA CANNOT USE SP3. You cannot buy the D3-SP outside. You have to go back to Perodua to change ATF. I just changed back to D3 green cap today after using SP3 for 6000km. There is a big difference in the gear box. I need to reflush again later. Very troublesome. guess you having not smooth gearshifting or gear hunting after slamming in sp3? i heard sp3 is oil with high friction modifier, maybe is a more slippery oil i guess.... |

QUOTE(Kiefer @ Aug 24 2016, 01:53 PM) Ya..silverstone is really stone.. they promote that it last much longer.. of course, hard tyres. xm2 will be noisy by the end of it's life, it's a longer life tyre compared to m3 as well. my house saga blm have xm2 which is 70k km mileage and the thread is about 2mm from TWI still, but the thread block is already showing chipping mark, but no crack still. maybe the saga NVH sucks so i feel like it's really irritating when i pass rough roads.I also changed to XM2 in this recent tyres, going up genting matching the speed of Vios going around the corners, the yoko in the vios was 'screaming' and screectching sound. Correct tyre pressure is good to monitor from time to time. I found 30lb to be good fit for comfort, 32lb seems harsh for me on rough roads. |

QUOTE(Kiefer @ Aug 25 2016, 04:37 PM) Ya.. tyres will be noisier when it is old. sounds like some undercoating for noise insulation purpose70k km is dxxx good liao. Noise level depends on many things for different cars. I sat on Saga BLM 1.6 before, it is jialat with stock tyres. and the FLX model, the engine sound, gearbox sound, and road noise.. my friend changed to a little bigger rim and tyres.. lagi jialat. My Alza now is 5 yr old now. I have plans in place now. 1. DIY Clean the AirCond and change the filter. (Done) now aircond is fresh and colder. 2. Change ATF DIII and ATF filter (this saturday) 3. DIY Painting project. Started getting the 'frame' ready for covering during painting job. Putty - Material ready for some touch up of dings and deep scratches. 4. Undercarriage 'painting' ....... one by one... |

QUOTE(bfs621 @ Oct 6 2016, 10:42 AM) it happens when you park at slope and either you switch to P and let go of foot brake before you engage parking brake brake, or.... your parking brake doesn't apply fully, it move a bit and the P claw biting the gears. Is kind normal especially on slope.on flat road, engage P without setting parking brake also will make you hard to shift from P to R. and is a bad habit. |

QUOTE(^Ware^wolf @ Nov 8 2016, 05:01 PM) i once accidentally dragged my ATF change for myvi till 40k km ... i reckon the service interval for ATF is 40k km. If you do for 20k km, you are doing a good deed for your gearbox as such practice prolong the life span of it, slightly. |

QUOTE(vseries @ Nov 9 2016, 01:23 PM) Thanks. I asked about permanently dismantle 3rd row seat because I see by just folding it, the 'boot' space is still small (seems less than 500 ltr). Just curious whether can dismantle 3rd row seat to gain more storage space than 500 ltr... you gonna have a weirdo trunk space, especially with the contoured floor for cargo space*with boot cover, can only store as high as the grey area. Asking in this forum in case someone did that before and can share. |

QUOTE(macdaniel @ Dec 22 2016, 10:47 AM) If speed not up to 50kph no that sound. sound not that noisy, only slightly.. my first car had few time wheel bearing issue. I think not wheel bearing. Because wheel bearing issue sound become bigger as fast we drive. Normally perodua service center not checking car on saturday.. I only free weekends.. My car still under warranty, not dare to bring outside workshop. usually tyre wont give you woooong sounds.... most likely is wheel bearing as the vibration starts around 50kph, as for 85kph onwards, the wind noise is louder than the wheel bearing noise hence it seems to be gone, do you have any idea which wheel it come from? Usually it happens on a single wheel rather than both wheel together, is possible but unlikely. Let's try to test it on a road, go for 50kph, then find a corner that allows you to turn at 50kph, turn left and turn right, if you turn left and the sound is gone, is left rear, vice versa. My house saga BLM have a tri annual wheel bearing problem so i know how suck it is. And i just got the right rear wheel bearing replaced two days ago. |

QUOTE(fishmango @ Feb 15 2017, 12:30 AM) i wonder what they can do with facelift for alza. as passo sette has been discon in Japan, there's no donor model to refer to. The neaerest could be daihatsu mpv concept (i forgot what name it is), or Cayla (cheapo seven seater based on Ayla aka Axia). Or Perodua could be design in house since they successfully design bezza. the remaining piece of puzzle is the engine deployment, next gen of alza (or it's replacement) should be powered by 1500cc engine, and i dont think perodua will keep on 3SZ-VE, hence the next thing to come will be 2NR-VE, which is the same family engine as sienta & vios, will UMW allows such deployment? it's quite a piece of puzzle, imagine buying myvi 1.5 and you getting the same family engine like vios. |
