alza pick up underpower is normal, 1160kg with max 136Nm @4400rpm, you can't expect much from it. moreover it made worsen with the retuned gearbox (for FL models onwards)

he is comparing a sub 1000kg metal vs a 1160kg beast, surely different.

guess you having not smooth gearshifting or gear hunting after slamming in sp3? i heard sp3 is oil with high friction modifier, maybe is a more slippery oil i guess....

how can you have x10000 difference by paying slightly higher price... but it's true that xm2 performs better than silverstone tyres, it's the same case for my house saga BLM. change to xm2 and you can feel the difference especially in the wets.

xm2 will be noisy by the end of it's life, it's a longer life tyre compared to m3 as well. my house saga blm have xm2 which is 70k km mileage and the thread is about 2mm from TWI still, but the thread block is already showing chipping mark, but no crack still. maybe the saga NVH sucks so i feel like it's really irritating when i pass rough roads.

Alza SE FL2014, auto, mixed driving, 12km/l.

it happens when you park at slope and either you switch to P and let go of foot brake before you engage parking brake brake, or.... your parking brake doesn't apply fully, it move a bit and the P claw biting the gears. Is kind normal especially on slope.

on flat road, engage P without setting parking brake also will make you hard to shift from P to R. and is a bad habit.

i reckon the service interval for ATF is 40k km. If you do for 20k km, you are doing a good deed for your gearbox as such practice prolong the life span of it, slightly.

guys, does your alza have tendency of blown bulb for the main headlamp? mine on 4th bulb since May 2014. Always happens on the left side. Right side happens once so far.

usually tyre wont give you woooong sounds.... most likely is wheel bearing as the vibration starts around 50kph, as for 85kph onwards, the wind noise is louder than the wheel bearing noise hence it seems to be gone, do you have any idea which wheel it come from? Usually it happens on a single wheel rather than both wheel together, is possible but unlikely. Let's try to test it on a road, go for 50kph, then find a corner that allows you to turn at 50kph, turn left and turn right, if you turn left and the sound is gone, is left rear, vice versa.
My house saga BLM have a tri annual wheel bearing problem so i know how suck it is. And i just got the right rear wheel bearing replaced two days ago.

same thing happens to me, less than 3 years car blown bulb twice.

i wonder what they can do with facelift for alza. as passo sette has been discon in Japan, there's no donor model to refer to. The neaerest could be daihatsu mpv concept (i forgot what name it is), or Cayla (cheapo seven seater based on Ayla aka Axia). Or Perodua could be design in house since they successfully design bezza.

the remaining piece of puzzle is the engine deployment, next gen of alza (or it's replacement) should be powered by 1500cc engine, and i dont think perodua will keep on 3SZ-VE, hence the next thing to come will be 2NR-VE, which is the same family engine as sienta & vios, will UMW allows such deployment? it's quite a piece of puzzle, imagine buying myvi 1.5 and you getting the same family engine like vios.

if it's on the foot well, try check a rubber boot locating near to the foot well on the firewall, there's one time that the rubber boot wasn't come loose and i feel like have angin panas blow in somemore.
