Civic hatchback is 90% not coming to malaysia, from paultan and i quote:

During a Q&A session at the media test drive of the tenth-gen Honda Civic Sedan, Hayashi, when asked about the prospect of Malaysians being offered the Civic Hatchback, had this to say:

“My understanding is the market demand is not enough to introduce the hatchback but, of course, selling cars is our business. So, if the market demand is there in Malaysia, we will think about it but currently, I’m not sure.”

So civic sedan is still king here.

This Philips X-treme Vision 360 is selling for about rm80 in powerbulbs.com... There is also a seller in lyn, Mayalab, selling RM85...

Left is the old version I saw selling for RM150+++ in accessories shops... The one on the right is the newer 360 version which I haven't seen in the shops yet...

Guys, cant remember who got the Honda CEO email address, anyone can provide to me?

I'm really pissed off how Honda Malaysia deal with my armrest USB malfunction issue.

My civic armrest USB port cannot be used since day, cannot charging, cannot detect anything! I sent my car to Honda Wang Loo Senai on July and they had dismantle the whole armrest and gear knob to check the any wire connecting problem but everything is normal. I already notice some sound when put some pressure on armrest after they assemble back the armrest before that the whole armrest are pretty solid and no sound even hard press.

Wang Loo Senai told me now they need to dismantle the whole dashboard to check either audio head unit or wire system in dashboard got problem in order to order the parts.

I cannot accept my car to get dismantle multiple times just for them to study the issue some more they never dismantle any civic before so my car will be his 1st white mouse! Wang Loo cannot guarantee problem can be solved after 2nd or 3rd time of dismantle! Even they manage to settle the USB problem but noise issue might come out after 2nd or 3rd of dismantle! so I have to think how to reduce the risk to just dismantle the dashboard 1 time to check & replace the component solve the problem so that noise can be minimized.

Therefore I request on 17Aug Honda to get ready the wire set, and audio head unit before dismantle, Honda customer service feedback they will go back to his technical team to arrange. Today they call me cannot make such arrangement! they want me to send back the car to dealer to dismantle the dashboard to identify problematic component and order the part!

So, it will be,

1. send back the car to dealer to dismantle whole dashboard to check the problem
2. part arrived, dismantle 2ND time! to install the part
3. [POSSIBLE RISK]Problem might not solved 1 time because there is a risk that problem from audio head unit but order wire, wire problem but order head unit. Then have to re order the part again
4. [POSSIBLE RISK]dismantle 3RD time to install the correct part
5. [POSSIBLE RISK]Noise issue, dismantle 4TH time, 5TH time....

Honda never think how to help their customer sincerely to solve the problem. Eventually I still the loser because I have to apply personal leave, lost my petrol, lost time, etc. But for Honda, they lost nothing. Now I'm not going to get Honda to compensate my lost just want them to cooperate with me to get ready the parts such as wire set, audio head unit, etc so that they can dismantle, test, and resolve the issue just 1 time dismantle. Save my time, and minimize the risk of dashboard noise. I don't my request is too much but I keen to have someone from Honda that can make the decision and arrange.

the customer service cant get her superior to talk to me and keep telling me that she is the only channel. Understand that someone in this forum got Honda CEO email and he ever made complaint to him and get special treatment from Honda.

Guys, what do you think and any suggestion?  sad.gif

Best is to get them to provide you a courtesy car while your car is being rectified. But I guess that's for extreme cases only.

If not, ignore the usb for 1 year then later report the issue. By then, Honda would have the necessary expertise to rectify this.

My 2 cents of thought, 1.8 because I doubt HM ability to fix any issues occur to TC engine.

Wait, so what are the issues concerning the TC? I currently own one and I don't find or experience any issues except for the AC which they fixed it

So far the only recurring issue is the grinding warm startup sound. Search for it on Youtube. It's a prevalent issue on all 1.5TC engine, but nothing to worry about as it seems even the North American units are having this sound and they've been using it for more than a year without having escalating issues.

The 1.5TC unit is a dream come true, frugal yet powerful - not FD2R powerful but more than FD2 powerful. Only go for 1.8 if you have no need for extra power & worried about using turbocharged cars.

After having the car for more than a month, I only wash twice. Most of the time I just wipe using microfiber cloth and warm water only - since I coated with Ceramic Pro
