Hi can anyone advise me on the Gyeon MOHS coating by RV. How long the coating will last? And do I have to reapply it every few years?
*
Depends if you think Koreans or Taiwanese are more beautiful smile.gif.

Unilike CeramicPro (Taiwanese), Gyeon MOHS (Korean) needs refreshing/servicing in between the warranty duration. In Gyeon's marketing material, RV claims that Coatings that do not need regular servicing is not realistic and says coating "sacrifices itself" to the environmental impact of daily use and have to be re-applied again (http://blog.regalvalet.my/2015/12/01/frequent-questions-gyeon-quartz-ceramic-coating/). CeramicPro claims that their coating is permanent and does not need reapplication although requires annual inspection for the lifetime warranty to remain valid (http://www.nanoshine.com.au/lifetime_warranty.html).

Who to believe is up to you. Both sounds ... acceptable. However, when it comes to SGS certification, CeramicPro publishes their durability test results as well but Gyeon only publishes their hardness report. For durability test results Gyeon publishes a different result by Korean testing Research with it's own test methods.

CeramicPro SGS certification:
http://www.nanoshine-group.com/certificates.html
http://www.nanoshine-group.com/HV805153X.pdf

Gyeon MOHS certification:
http://blog.regalvalet.my/wp-content/uploa...TR_MohsPlus.jpg
http://blog.regalvalet.my/wp-content/uploa...0/SGS_Mohs2.png

Price wise, CeramicPro Silver package is slightly more expensive (CivicX group buy) vs. Gyeon MOHS (civicX group buy).

Tried to make appointment for service at tenaga setia pj but it's full until 19/8.wth

I did a walk in at Tenaga Setia for my first 1k svc based on service reception advise when I called to book my 1k svc. For 1k svc they take walk ins on weekdays first thing in the morning (i.e. 8am). The sign on the door says they do not accept walk-ins for "normal svc" anymore.

had a look at this Civic the other day. I could not tell the difference between this and the Bezza. Both had appalling interior plastics. Both had the same size boot. Both are feminine pondan-mobiles. At least with Bezza you save RM80K, and you won't look like a fool stranded by the roadside with a failed CVT. Test drove the Civic. Road noise was terribly loud. B-pillar trims emitted creaking sounds when going over bumps. Wind noise started at 80kph. Transmission made a lot of whiny noise. There's delay in the drive-by-wire response. Brakes were spongy. Speakers were tin sounding. Aircond wasn't cold enough. Ride was harsh and the car vibrated a lot. Steering wasn't responsive enough. Pick up (0 to 40) was sluggish. Radio reception was bad. Seatbelt kept getting stuck. Windows wound slowly with excessive noise. Honda's quality has gone downhill in recent years. All they care about is getting cars to look pretty to please yuppies and daffodils. Can't they make a decent car? This Civic is no better that a Proton Saga. Shameful. A peon's car.

The Bezza fits you perfectly. Buy that instead..

No la. Just try the default height settings at showroom. But that is what i feel.
Probably i felt the console very near and overwhelming. Similar feel when inside new altis.  But seems high to me compared to other cars, probably just my feeling.]
The Altis dashboard is like a lorry. So damn ugly and is higher than the Civic.

When I sit in the Civic, my seat is at the lowest setting. Dunno how u can say the dashboard is high. rclxub.gif

Hahaha, I really think you test drive the Bezza and not the Civic. Don't make yourself sound like a fool by not knowing which car you even test drove when I experienced none of that problem you mentioned. Lol rclxms.gif go ahead and buy our beautiful local made cars and support them then.

Why don't u use your original nick? Why register a new one just to talk rubbish? doh.gif

But regardless what nick u use, even if your points above were credible, I would still accept. But 90% of what you wrote was complete bollocks. I would gladly thrash your argument point by point if you use your original nick. The remaining 10% was accurate I must say.

FYI, I drive a F10 and my judgement of the Civic was based on that and I was impressed with the Civic. A car that gives so much for just 113K. That's value for money for sure.

Next time, if u want to be taken seriously, at least come up with a more accurate and concrete overall argument.

Normally a person who wrote such bad comments wanted to purchase but cannot AFFORD it. Hence comes out with 1001 bad reasons for it

I recalled there's another fella which condemn Civic in V1, in the end bought the cheaper VW Vento

I understand to each his own, but if u ask me bro, that spoiler makes the car look so Ah Beng la. Just because something is different doesn't mean it always looks nice.

The car in its current state is sporty enough and yet exudes maturity. Leave the Ah Beng'ness to the Vios and Myvi owners. biggrin.gif

Except me I suppose. I've been wanting to buy this Civic since day 1 but at the moment can't afford it just yet. But still, I absolutely love this thing! biggrin.gif
