Hi can anyone advise me on the Gyeon MOHS coating by RV. How long the coating will last? And do I have to reapply it every few years?
Depends if you think Koreans or Taiwanese are more beautiful Unilike CeramicPro (Taiwanese), Gyeon MOHS (Korean) needs refreshing/servicing in between the warranty duration. In Gyeon's marketing material, RV claims that Coatings that do not need regular servicing is not realistic and says coating "sacrifices itself" to the environmental impact of daily use and have to be re-applied again (http://blog.regalvalet.my/2015/12/01/frequent-questions-gyeon-quartz-ceramic-coating/). CeramicPro claims that their coating is permanent and does not need reapplication although requires annual inspection for the lifetime warranty to remain valid (http://www.nanoshine.com.au/lifetime_warranty.html).
Who to believe is up to you. Both sounds ... acceptable. However, when it comes to SGS certification, CeramicPro publishes their durability test results as well but Gyeon only publishes their hardness report. For durability test results Gyeon publishes a different result by Korean testing Research with it's own test methods.
CeramicPro SGS certification:

Gyeon MOHS certification:

Price wise, CeramicPro Silver package is slightly more expensive (CivicX group buy) vs. Gyeon MOHS (civicX group buy).
