I am not too sure what does it meant by 'updated' version. Someone actually joked that the 'updated' actually meant those working/not problematic compressor, it probably is. who knows?

Has anyone successfully installed the HDMI Bypass or the 'Y' adaptor? I am planning to use Waze. However currently without the bypass it will not display.

Help u a bit, go to this link

http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/android-auto/

Please note that, your phone has to be running in android 5.0 lollipop and above.
Choose one of the link based on your phone architecture arm or arm64. If you don't know what is your phone architecture -> select the link that has 2 variant -> download both APK. Install both of them, surely one will work.

Not all phone works perfectly, especially xiao mi.

Thks for the tip hihi and sack boy but the back app has access to phone list and hence security risks. I shall wait for the main curtain to be drawn. Thks again. rclxms.gif

I got that too, but it's US and Canada manual, so it has very specific items that's unique to their environment... 80+ pages compared to our 400+ pages, so there is a lot of missing info in between...

Apkmirror is quite safe. It's 100% verified the same app as per Google Play Store - so if you don't trust Google (maker of AndroidAuto), you shouldn't even be using Android biggrin.gif

I think it is because the android auto can read contact information.

HDMI mirroring currently works only when the car is stationary. It will not have any display when you are moving hence Waze will not display.

These called the side marker lights which make the vehicle's presence, position and direction of travel clearly visible from oblique angles

This side marker is required by law in US, and this is a US designed car, so naturally our car comes with it. Ours is clear, although the buld is yellow, so it actually looks good, although i would very much prefer a white bulb, currently looking for it, anyone has any clue what socket it used?
