Not all cars but certain make of cars. Subaru is one of them and on the other extreme of luxury - Lexus and Audi. Can't get my mind of the Forrester after the short test drive. Will probably take an extended test-drive before making a decision.
*
I also got hooked a bit after test driving Forester. I think I will have some hard time deciding between XV and Forester if I am buying now with both are CKD.

Can't do much now, $$$ not falling from sky. Just enjoy it and see how things go after 5 years. Maybe can patiently hunt for a fun car in the 2nd had market which really depreciate a lot.

I test drove XV for 3 times was hook on it and almost sign up but along came a used very good condition 2003 Forester XT ,it comes with pillar-less door just took it for a spin and that's it !! I paid immediately , even my wife who has little knowledge of car commented " very stable "being using it for 3 years am just an ordinary driver and loves driving on winding roads esp Raub to Fraser Hill, Cameron's roads etc.
Just sharing .... rclxm9.gif

Hello 2016 XV owners.

Lately notice there is some water residue within DRL. Is this normal?

It is rather obvious, but just got the car last week. image borrow from carlist

short term - waiting for northern region showroom to have a test drive car.
long term - dreaming...

wonder why Subaru doesn't come out with a 2 door hatch even if is a RWD + manual should be nice too.
*
They already have 1 car called as BRZ (Toyota 86 brother).. But if not mistaken MI only bring in the Automatic version.. But i think you may order a manual version if you got the money.. brows.gif But out of most ppl budjet.. almost 200k++

Subaru have tame down quite a bit in recent years, and trying to please more crowds instead of just gear heads..
2 door hatch no market lah... the closest you can get is the BRZ..
no more turbo legacy, no more STi forester.. cry.gif

it is also a matter of worth paying or not.
even if i can afford, what bother me is the lower ground clearance.

Yup. Just check ford website.. Kuga is AWD also but with Ecoboost 1.5 Turbo engine.

So 2.0 category AWD just left the old ASX to compete..

Despite being an older model, I see more NEW ASX on the road compared to NEW XV!!!

Honestly, I have not seen one facelifted XV, let alone the Crosstrek on the road!

Hmm, on the contrary, seeing many XV (pre facelift, 2.0ip 2016 facelift, a few crosstrek) in PJ & Klang area. Under an impression of 5:1 compare to ASX. HRV still got more on the road though. Even forester getting more and more on the road. By the way, where are you observing that from?

Hey guys what is the best FC you can get with your XV? I'm getting around 10km/l with my crosstrek under mix drive (60% highway, 40% city). Is this the average?

the next closest thing to that is the Levorg, but damn MI only brought in the 1.6 version and not the 2.0.

Penang here more Xv on the road compare to ASX.

But 1 thing for sure the facelift XV still quite rare on the road.

I think most people are awaiting for stock clearance offer like the previous Russ Swift Xv clearance sell.

I think depend on your driving style. I am getting average 8L/100km (60:40) ratio same like you, which is around 12.5km/L if convert around.
