No is not recommend to upsize. Falken wildpeak AT got original 225/55/R17 size, i am 1st gen Xv user and using the same tire with original size.

https://stamfordtyres.com.my/duplicated-wildpeak-at3w-8136/
225/55 17 101V BLK 680 233 8.5

Why no, 1st is weight. Falken wildpeak AT even original size 55 also damn heavy, 60 even heavier.
2nd speedo meter will not accurate
3rd due to weight & thicker tire profile handling characteristic/geometry also will impact (even original size with heavier weight also felt car sluggish and not so confident during hi-speed cornering)
4th safety related items (VSC/ABS) need to recalibrate with new tire size, sadly most tire shop/mechanic dont have the expertise to do this. (may google/AI regarding upsizing tire need relibrate abs?)

There is a golden rule of upsizing/downsizing tire which is the 3% diameter rule. Most AI software/google also can tell you the pro & con.
from 225/55 to 225/60 -> Diameter already out 3.3~3.4%

https://yokohamatyre.com.my/news-and-events...ling%20diameter.

1. Upsizing Tyres on Original Wheels
You can install wider tyres on your existing wheels, but the overall diameter must not exceed 3% of the original size. For every 10 mm increase in width, reduce the sidewall height (aspect ratio) by about 5% to maintain diameter consistency.

While upsizing brings several perks, it also introduces risks and trade-offs:

Reduced Fuel Efficiency: Wider tyres create more rolling resistance, leading to higher fuel consumption.
Inaccurate Speedometer Readings: Changes in tyre diameter can skew your vehicle’s speed and mileage displays.
Rubbing and Clearance Issues: Larger tyres may scrape against the wheel arches or suspension components.
Higher Costs: Upsized tyres and alloy wheels generally cost more than standard options.
Heavier Steering: Bigger tyres can make steering feel heavier, particularly at low speeds.
Reduced Acceleration and Top Speed: The added weight and rolling resistance may affect your car’s acceleration and top speed.
Risk to Vehicle Safety Systems: Incorrect tyre sizing may impact ABS, traction control, and stability control functions.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know the Falken wildpeak AT got original 225/55/R17 size... I saw XV2 having it with 225/60R17.

Btw, how much is the Falken wildpeak AT 225/55/R17? Planning to change tyres soon.

Average price/pcs should be around 500 now, ask for older tires like 1~2 years if available should be more cheaper.
