practice does not show tru time. You only want to get the best setup and some team will run with heavy fuel on board to simulate race. Thus I expect them to go faster during qualy

QUOTE(adrian0229 @ Mar 16 2007, 10:57 PM) y dun wan 82?i tot same commentator? No la, TV2 uses F1 ITV from britain. 82 uses starsports with crappy commentator. you never really watched F1 if you never heard Murray Walker is all I can say and it was raining in Aussie, which why some time are a bit misleading. No wonder the Honda was off the pace so much

2 sponsors for the damn race and you still says RTM don't have money? anyways, who has the feeling that the McLaren was sandbagging and the BMW was light on fuel?

Spyker is trying to get the Super Aguri banned for tomorrow's race. and I don't blame them really. Even the Torro Rosso was quite better than the Red Bull. The loser IMO was Massa. I was sure he could (and should) have gotten the pole My prediction: McLaren uses the Semi-Soft compound during the start of the race, and went for a long stint. Kimi meanwhile start on the same tyre, but for a shorter (2 laps maybe) than the Macca, and both will then use the soft compound. The McLaren will then try to take advantage with a lower fuel during this stint, while the BMW's will hold up Massa, who has risen up through the field. This will take Fisico into the race and he will pass massa at the end End result McLaren 1-2 (Fernando or Lewis, both seems equally fast), Kimi 3rd (or 2nd, depend on his drive), both BMW Sauber 4th and 5th, and then Fisico

QUOTE(Hornet @ Mar 17 2007, 11:34 PM) On what grounds? Aguri car is completely legit right it's a shame if they want to beat others by getting them banned. Spyker isn't all that top team or experienced team anyway. BTW, i think Kimi stands an equal chance of winning, depending of Ferrari's pace. He did complained the car did not handle as well as he wanted to, but nevertheless, it has good pace in it. Oh boy, i wish Ross was still around. his strategy had won michael many race in harder times where their car isn't the fastest on track if I'm not mistaken, it is longer than the older ferrari car, but when compare to others, its not that much longer, since ferrari had always have shorter base in the pass... Supa aguri is still last season's car, which the team DID NOT build themselves (who are they kidding really?). The rule state that teams must build the chassis themselves (including R&D), unless the car is built by a third party builder (which Red Bull and Tollo Losso uses this loophole). Teh Fellalli IS longer than the other teams this season, which is why ppl are saying that they knew something about the bridgestone that other teams have no idea about. The reason other teams are using shorter version this season are because they felt that the new Bridgstone will be too much of a low grip. Driver of the day - Lewis Hamilton. No doubt about that
Most improved team - BMW Sauber
Most dissapointing team - Toss up between Renault and Honda, but at least Fisico gets the point. Thus it's Honda
most Dissapointing Driver - Jenson Button, with Massa close behind
Most weird scene of the day - Martin and James arguing is it 'Kubicka' or 'Kubisa'
Near Death Moment - DC getting his car just inches from Wurz's head

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Mar 18 2007, 12:53 PM) how can massa be dissapointing? he was last to 6th and as wurz, i thought his head would have gone off With a car that fast, he could have been higher. But yet even towards the end of his first stint (before his first stop) where technically he should be as fast as Kimi, he was 2 seconds off the pace.

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Mar 18 2007, 12:55 PM) button was butting ppl slow la and besides he couldnt get too close to other cars as need to cool the car as well yes, but that was long before his pit window. And he managed to get pass button. Massa will not be happy And interesting enough, he DID NOT (Ted did say that it was the hard compound that he used at his stop) use the softer tyre. Wonder if there will be any penalty

QUOTE(death mask @ Mar 18 2007, 01:00 PM) yeah. kudos to hamilton. bmw pitstop cost heidfeld podium.. wuu i doubt that. even if he did made a better pit stop, he was as fast as the McLaren using the softer tyre. He was slower after that. The one driver that we didn't see was Nico Rosberg, and yet he was faster than the BMW durign the closing stages of the race

QUOTE(young_soul @ Mar 18 2007, 01:06 PM) no offence linkin, your predictions were....wrong I have to say I did not expect Kimi to be that much faster but I did expect him to win this race. and another thing...Coulthard is really ridiculous with his overtaking maneuver. He almost took Wurz's head off!! the one thing I would not like to see is a head rolling down the track...without the body (18SG) At least i got right where Massa finished and BMW if not for kubicka (Kubisaa james, I know) DNF, I would also be right on the money there too

Ted kravit's mentioned that Ferrari might have overheating problem. And like I said, why Massa can get away without using 2 compounds like everyone else?

QUOTE(KimRoss @ Mar 18 2007, 01:22 PM) Suzuka 2005' Overtook someone on the last lap to win the race. Started last Good race, Kimi raced a clean race from start to finish. [ cept that one part where he went too deep ] - [ ITV crew asked him why he said he was lookin elsewhere ] Alonso, EXTREMELY lucky to be 2nd. Come'on, admit it, if it wasn't for Sato blocking Hamilton just before his pitstop, Alonso would have been 3rd.Hamilton, what can I say, great debut. Starting was superb. Really loves to throw his car around, on the rugged edge. Could have gotten 2nd place, but for Takuma Sato [Asstard] , lost to his teammate in the end, but a podium on a F1 Debut is great. Even Kimi got 6th on this debut with Sauber a long time ago. Other Highlights : Coultard nearly takes Wurz head off with his [ Great ] overtaking manouver. Button has a race he would like to forget, with a drive-through penalty for speeding in the pit lane Wrong. Lewis would have been nearer but Alonso would still be in front of him. he had 2 laps more fuel and he was pegging lewis all the time. Also Ron Dennis himself confirmed it after the race

QUOTE(kobe8byrant @ Mar 18 2007, 01:28 PM) ok closer..but doesnt mean hamitlon would not have had a chance when his tyres up to temperature ma..dont u think? Like I said, closer. Also McLaren have a strict issue with drives and pit and not hitting each other (which lead to Juan pablo's demise), thus I doubt lewis will want to throw both out

true, just that me and verx were just confirming what ron dennis himself said at the end of the race. Ron is a businessman, and it would be BAD for him if a rookie beat his world champion
