Heh, the McLaren have too much oversteer and understeer (rumour said that a light fell on the front wing the night before the race which make the car undriveable). Try comparing Lewis with Massa instead. Both are faster than Kimi and Fernando that day
*
WTF?! A light fell on the front wing of the car before the race?! Maybe that answers the oversteer of the McLaren cars.

Actually both of them have different driving styles. Alonso tends to use more of the corners than Kimi to gain a similar speed. Kimi on the other hand use to drive at a faster speed thru the corners but then not using much of the corners.. this is why Kimi's car looks as if its not turning much and looks a bit smooth when driving thru corners.
*
It seems that the F2007 so difficult to drive (the say Kimi banging the car).
Michael made it look so easy.

Yes its getting harder indeed. But then Schumi had a bad car last season, and if only he is still driving this season, he would be unstoppable biggrin.gif

er.. I never saw Schummi drove the F2007...
and the F2007 have a longer wheelbase than the 2006 car, it should be more stable

McLaren probe Alonso's Bahrain Struggle
QUOTE
McLaren will strip Fernando Alonso's MP4-22 McLaren car at its Woking factory this week in a bid to get to the bottom of the Spaniard's relative lack of pace in qualifying and on Sunday at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The reigning double World Champion lacked the pace of his rookie team-mate Lewis Hamilton at the Sakhir circuit, leaving him fifth at the flag.

But according to the Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, it is possible that an incident in the Mercedes-powered team's garage on Friday night literally put a dent in Alonso's podium ambition.

Although he himself played down the possible effect on his car's speed of the incident at the time, it is true that some parts at the front of the single seater had to be replaced on Saturday morning after a lighting gantry fell from the ceiling of the garage.

The publication said only the front wing of Alonso's car was changed but it is now thought that the entire monocoque might need to be scrapped prior to the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix.

Alonso will also be given two of the three days of the upcoming Barcelona test to get to the bottom of the problem. Hamilton will test for only one day, we have learned.

Alonso told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Maybe a mistake was made while re-assembling the car after that mishap. The fact is the car had a strange behaviour from then on."

hmm... its a very good combination previously when alonso was at renault... but now look wat happen to renault? fisi seems to be struggling in renault... i doubt whether flavio will retain this driver for the next season onot... eh, y alonso switch to mclaren instead of staying in renault ah?

anyway, both kimi and alonso are still new in their teams... should be nice to see which of them get used to the team faster lor... but very unpredictable le... heidfeld may juz give a bite for the podium finishes as well... wat an equal season for f1 teams...!

Couldn't agree more.

When it's Michael, we just know that he can deliver and no drivers (no disrespect to other drivers) can stop him if he got a fast car.

Well, for me i dont really get a heart-attack or something similar, i admit that my heart pump faster when the team i support is going on offense or on defense.. the start of the race is also very intense.. but what is most important is the chase between the cars, which i like the most, the mistakes they make, the fantastics takeover they do...

This season will be tough for all teams. All teams are very competitive, the proof that Hamilton going up the podium and the BMW Sauber team on the chase all mean that this season no team is to say that they are for sure to clinch the WCC or the WDC.. Lewis maybe.. tongue.gif

mistakes...when the rival team makes... rclxms.gif
But suxx if it's our team tongue.gif

hmmm....if Lewis won the WDC...he's the youngest ever correct?
Youngest ever WDC and rookie.
A lot of title in his hands now.

1st, he need to beat Massa...looks to me Massa is the one to beat...as a Ferrari driver I mean.
Kimi...we'll see his progress till mid of the season.

If he wins another GP without Massa screwing up...then both Ferrari drivers are game on.

Because at the time, Renault was not even sure to be on the grid in 07. And in fact, many still believes that the reason they still here are just because they are the defending champion.

@linkinstreet - I am not really sure about Renault pulling out from F1 but then i heard a tiny of it when the FIA banned the damper system used by Renault. Is this the main cause of Renault pulling out? Correct me if i am wrong..

Yeah, the head of Renault did not really see the reason for them staying in F1 at the time. They were either pulling out completely or phase out by using their japanese counterpart Nissan in F1. But the head of Renault retire last year and the new boss said Renault will still be in F1
