actually they are Star sport commentators, not astro lah  doh.gif

the one i cant stand is the slater guy... sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  the goodwin guy is actually good, because he used to test for Mclarens from time to time... so he knows the inner working of the cars.

Thats why i prefered itv commentator... martin is an ex-f1 driver (partnered schumi and hakkinen before) and they have two more reporters in the pit lane... so you have more inside stuff  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

good job lewis  rclxms.gif  but i feel alonso is heavy with fuel same as kimi
*
Slater should partner with James (Brundle's partner)
Both were yawn.gif

Brundle + Goodwin would be great.

Goodwin also the guy who involved in the development of the F1C game nod.gif

Yup...they're heavy fuelled.
Longer run and later pit stop.

Interesting 1st corner...as long as Massa take the 1st corner in front...should be ok.
Kimi will hustle Lewis tongue.gif

I guess its better for Massa to say that its because of Hamilton that he overbreak rather than to admit its his own fault lo...

A guy of his caliber is very hard to be humble. Can't blame him though, he swap the track for alonso again this weekend, his 2 time world champion team mate... Who can stay humble like that user posted image

days of the rookies. But then again, we forgot that Lewis was with McLaren from the end of his GP2 career, which is much earlier than Fernando does. Thus like Massa is more attuned to the Ferrari than Kimi, he's more at home in the McLaren than Fernando does.

Massa vows not to give Hamilton any room
No repeat of the Malaysian Grand Prix

QUOTE
Felipe Massa has vowed not to give Lewis Hamilton any room ahead of Sunday's Bahrain Grand Prix.

Massa, who piped Hamilton to pole by three-tenths of a second in Saturday's qualifying session, was a disappointing fifth despite claiming pole for the race in Malaysia last Sunday.

The Brazilian was overtaken by Hamilton at the start and then made a mistake when trying to re-take the position. However Massa revealed he is ready for the challenge that the young Briton will pose for him on Hamilton's first start on the front row.

"I think he made a good start but we also gave him space, so this time we know what he can do - so we won't give him the space any more," said Massa after qualifying.
"Last Sunday was not an easy day for us, McLaren showed incredible pace in the race, we did not show our pace as we were always blocked by other cars, our pace was better than we showed although it was difficult, and McLaren were very, very strong."

"Today we were competitive on old tyres so I hope we can show a much better pace tomorrow than we had in Malaysia."

do you notice that the cars look short on telly? that's because starting this season, the FIA is broadcasting the race in a 16:9 Widescreen format, which TV2 don't bother to crop and just plonked the whole thing to our 4:3 TV sets

That's easy
1. They lower down the revs for racing because teh engine need to last two races
2. the more you push, the more the tyre will lose grip, thus drivers need to know when to push and save the tyres for the pitstop
3. Different temprature can also significant;y lower the times

1st thing is becos they having a fresh tyre to do the qualify,of course better grid.2nd is due to some circumstance like traffic and etc...they can't do the best time as wat they did in qualifying.

i dun think this is the reason....if u say fresh tyre hv better grid in qualy...then how they do fastest lap after so many laps where on that time tyre ord no grip rite?

His parents did a good job raising him.
A at the early age like that and he has respect for everybody...a sign of maturity there.
For some, maturity came a bit late...good for him, it came early thumbup.gif
We'll see how he behave after he won the WDC one day nod.gif

1. Kimi did that in Malaysia to protect his engine from blowing
2. they conservertively. I do recall in 05 where the Macca was so good on their tyres at Monaco that Renault who was chasing them totally used up all the grip and fell away. remember that year there were no chasing tyres
3. A cold track means lower grip. a too high temprature track means high abrasive = faster tyre worn out.

And remember, fast laps are not only on tyres, but fuel loads also. The longer they are driving, the lower the fuel level, the lighter the car, the faster it will go, even if the tyres are losing grip. Fernando did just that during the second stint in Malaysia where he was being caught by Lewis. He was actually saving some grip for some fast laps near his pitstop window, which he did.
