The MAIN problem with Massa is not speed related. Its something to do with his consistency. He has been with Ferrari for 3rd season already. Come on!!! 1 season as test driver and 2nd season as driver. His win in Brazil last year shows he's capable, no doubt... but he hasnt been able to win or drive consistently.

1st he needs to win a GP.
Beat Alonso and Kimi for it.

He did say on the radio.
"...I want to win. Maybe not in the next GP but sometime this year..."

Also, his fitness were similar to an Olympic athletes.

To me in normal terms, a bit hard, but not impossible

yes its now his third season in ferrari, but his stint as a test driver was in 2003. 2003, 2006, 2007 cars are different in specs

Threw away?I think they gv too much credit to Ferrari then, it's not like a Ferrari driver made a mistake on the last lap or so. wink.gif

thats why linkin post the info. Probably kimi over confident?

Thats why I said he post rubbish. The team done testing just get specific data or testing new aero part (engine already frozen). Once they get the data they need, thats the end of it. Just another way to double check wind tunnel result on new parts.

After that whether they want to party or whatsoever, its up to them. If doing more test will guarantee good result, then everyone will do it non-stop.

yes they would love too test day and night. why do they need big factory and wind tunnel? And how will they come up with new revision of car aerodynamic if they don't do testing and simulation? why the need to employ 2-3 test drivers if testing is not important?

Hamilton: `I tricked Massa into spin`

Lewis Hamilton has claimed he "tricked" Felipe Massa into spinning off during the Malaysian GP.

Hamilton overtook Massa at the start of the race but appeared set to lose his second place when the Ferrari driver closed in on the McLaren on lap four only for Massa to misjudge his overtaking move and slide off onto the grass.

Hamilton, though, believes that the mistake wasn't entirely of the Brazilian's own making.

"That's the most difficult race I've ever had," declared the rookie Hamilton afterwards. "To see two Ferraris behind you, knowing they are quicker than you, it's very difficult to keep them behind.

"Felipe had a couple of moves but fortunately I was able to trick him into outbraking himself. I apologise for that, but at the end of the day we got the points so it doesn't really matter."

"Then I had Kimi hunting me down for most of the race. It was extremely hot in the cockpit. I ran out of water and I was getting hotter and hotter.

"It was tricky and I had to keep pushing to the last lap."

1 - Teams are LIMITED to testing this season.
2 - Kimi has been using his teammate's setup for god knows how long now. He have no clue on setting up the car himself. Ask peter windsor.
3 - While you test to get specific data, the Sepang test was used by everyone to get the right setup for today
4 - Massa is the one developing the new car since the day it was launched. Remember that the team gave kimi last season car to test before giving him the new car.
5 - While Kimi can be quick, his laidback attitude is greatly making massa do all the donkeywork, one which he shared with Schumacher last season.

thus do not diss massa too much for Ferrari's sake. I forsee losing Massa is more harm to the team than losing kimi. Heck, i'm not even a ferrari fan here.

I dont want debate with u over this liao.
Seem like you dont get it.

Teams test to get data. Nothing else. Testing doesnt guarantee success, just as a measure to double check wind tunnel result. As to why they want as much test as possible, cos they keep on developing new parts and they want to run different configurations just in case wind tunnel result vs actual data doesnt match.

You are talking like Apelonso wins becos he did more testing/simulation than others. Its more like McLaren has come up with something good which he utilises to the best potential today to get the wins. And Kimi third place doesnt mean he's slacking off.

That's why Massa needs a lot to learn.
Even Brundell knew what to do:

Something like that.

Once you overtook the car and the corner is on your right and he's on your left...nothing he can do about it.
Just shut the door on him.

MSC is also good in setting up his car what. But at times he also takes RB setting when RB sets faster time than his. All these are team effort la. If you say like that, then Luca Badeor ma more important than Schummi or Massa last year lor.

All Im saying team orders are there whether you like it or not. Ferrari want a replacement for MSC. Simple as that. Kimi has proven again n again that he's a contender while Massa proved nothing. If Massa can start raking up wins, I dont see why I complaint him lor. Its so early in the season, and already fumble, how to bcome big lar. Steady a bit more maybe we will like him a bit more.

honestly, it is possible...but I really don't see Hamilton...who just raced 2 races to trick Massa, an experienced (quite) F1 driver sweat.gif Hamilton must have a great sense of driving to be able to do that much in just his 2nd race biggrin.gif

tis Lewis is really good considering it is his second outing.

Kimi has a lot of work to do, in this case input. If he yearns to be a champion, he got to work hard for it just ike what Schuey and Alonso did. Driving is never enough. No doubt, he is a fast driver but helping the team to setup and giving input is utterly important too. Hopes he realised that. I wld loves to see a new F1 chmapion this year for a change.

Btw, good job by McLaren.
