some said D_A left psp CFW development because of something sony put inside the coding of the latest FW he tried to crack.(a message of some sort)

what a way to give a big slap to the face of sony,if that^ is true.

instead of going to sony for repairs,we can do it ourselves laugh.gif
so sony's "homebrew apps will ruin the psp" threats are to be taken very very very lightly laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Connect in USB mode. Look in the root of your memory stick (where you have the PSP folder and the UPDATE.PBP file). There should be a file named "msipl.bin".

Then Copy the "msipl.bin" into the folder called "msinst" that was extracted from the ZIP file. In the Command Prompt, switch into the "msinst" folder... wherever you put it. Type "msinst X msipl.bin" where X is the drive of your PSP. For example, my PSP is connected at O, so type "msinst O msipl.bin".

You should see a prompt like this. Your setup may vary from each computer. As long as you get the "Are You Sure? [Y]" prompt, you know that the msipl.bin file is OK.

i think if you plug in the charger with the jigkick battery in your psp it will startup normally? as long as you're not using the battery's power to startup your psp it wouldn't run the special menu. i think lar.
