Wrong! The very-super-ultimate-pertama-first-#1 thing to do is to install the Recovery. thumbup.gif

u can do this after brick also ryte? after brick go usb and transfer the file wor..
more space on the stick! laugh.gif
*
Correct me if I'm wrong, you still need the Recover folder inside the GAME folder in order to run the Recovery Mode. The worst you can do is to transfer the firmware PBP file when something happens (brick).

QUOTE(slickz @ Jan 30 2007, 09:18 PM)
I dont think I did this yet. I thought it was already built inside the firmware? if our psp bricks we just go into recovery mode and load the recovery from the recovery menu right?
*
Yup. I always thought that the recovery thingy was run from the RECOVERY folder inside GAME. Damn, I'm so ignorant. doh.gif

QUOTE(figure8 @ Jan 30 2007, 09:19 PM)
but i'm not sure if we already activate the plugin, so if the memory card does not exist while booting, whether the psp will hang or bypass the plugin...
-for 1.5 custom firmware, it will bypass the plugin setting if the memory does not exist while booting...

Added on January 30, 2007, 9:24 pm

hehe. he confuse. actually the recovery mode (the recovery files) were install automatically when we do the 3.03oe upgrade...
*
Hmmph.. I've gotta do more research on that.. Or anyone in here that has actually used the Recovery mode to un-brick their PSPs can share share their techniques? thumbup.gif

QUOTE(four_add @ Jan 30 2007, 09:43 PM)
hold R to go into recovery mode.
...
*
Before that, power off your PSP first. Then, switch it on and immediately hold down R trigger. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(Bernard Yeo @ Jan 30 2007, 10:46 PM)
Just rename a 1.50 firmware eboot to UPDATE.PBP.
Put it in the RECOVERY Folder.
In the Recovery Menu choose Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP
Hello 1.50!

Simple as pimples.

The easiest way to Recover any semi brick PSP without going back to 1.50 is to copy the EBOOT.PBP of 303oeflasher and DATA.DXAR into /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY folder.

Thanks for the tip!

Just kidding, go ahead with OE-C, 3.10OE would probably take some time to be developed. You could always update later to a newer version when its out.
*
Yep, that's right.

how about battery consuming? hmm.gif
...
*
Of course it drains the battery. laugh.gif

QUOTE(mfa333 @ Feb 3 2007, 01:39 PM)
btw, 333mhz is not considering as "overclocking" right? its designated as its max speed, but sony lower the clock to fight with nds's battery right?

so, it means, it wont shorten my psp lifespan? since if overclocking in pc, might shorten cpu lifespan...

adoi, nak buat ayat pun pening.. doh.gif
*
Well, forcing a processor to run at speeds higher than its default speed is considered overclocking.

About the processor's lifespan, I don't have any idea on it. But IMO, it does not shorten it as 333MHz, like you have put it, is the designated max speed by Sony. Unless you can find a way to overclock the max speed (i.e. >333MHz).. Then that's a different story lah.. laugh.gif
