Did you change your router ip to a different one? I'm not sure but you can try ping that ip as well.
1. Remember to set your ip to 192.168.1.x range. Add an ip of the same range as your router ip if you changed that before.
2. in command prompt ping -t 192.168.1.1 & in another command ping -t <router ip>
3. press & hold the reset button while plugging in the power (the button should be in power on state as well).
4. wait for 5 or more ping replies before releasing the reset button or else it won't work & just perform the reset. the ping replies should have ttl 100.
I will try again tonight.

Anyway, I think mine is dead. Here are what happened:
1) Once I reset the router, "INTERNET" LED wording on router keeps blinking non stop.
2) After a few minutes, it is still the same. I had no choice but to unplug power cord.
3) After plugging in, LAN, WLAN and WPS appeared. INTERNET wording disappeared now.
4) I quickly browsed to 192.168.1.1, if "LAN" is still shown on my router, then I can login.
5) Quickly flashed my firmware but... while flashing firmware, LAN, WLAN and WPS disappeared while firmware flashing is still running in background. Then, LAN, WLAN and WPS will come back again.
6) My router shows the new upgraded firmware.
7) After some time all LAN, INTERNET, WLAN and WPS appeared. Can connect to Internet. Yeah!
8) Nah, either they will disappear after some time or after I reboot the router, everything is dead again.

I really regretted to upgrade the firmware, I thought _2 is OK, that's why I did that.
