QUOTE(soonwai @ Jul 12 2016, 02:38 AM) The WS880 beats the RB951U hands down in terms of specs and performance. It has a fast dual core CPU, dual band wifi and GB ports and USB3.0. At RM199, there's nothing that can compete with it so get it while the price lasts. The, more or less, identical in spec, Asus RT-AC68U, is priced at RM1000+. Also Netgear R7000 and Linksys EA6900 which are in the same boat. The routers from Mikrotik that are able to match the WS880 are the RB850Gx2 and the RB3011 but those are strictly routers, no wifi and costs are much higher. If you're just a home user and don't need Mikrotik RouterOS' advanced features, I think the WS880 is a no-brainer to buy at this price. And this is coming from a long-time Mikrotik user. I'm going to buy the WS880 myself, just hope they still have it in stock by the time I get to LYP. QUOTE(zher4883 @ Jul 11 2016, 10:37 PM) You should suggest replacing the Electrical Fuse since it may cause problem as well I usually light up a joss stick before I configure my routers. Always helps.

QUOTE(bsa12 @ Jul 12 2016, 02:50 AM) Stock firmware can do so. No need to flash the stock china firmware. I must have overlooked the VLAN option in malaysia firmware as the options are hidden if you select unifi. Just remember to set the ISP to Other & VLAN to 621. You can enable IPv6 as well.

QUOTE(raynman @ Jul 11 2016, 08:07 PM) Now I managed to get into the Emergency Upgrade Page. After choosing my modified bootloader file and press 'Upload' I didn't get the "Upload completed. System is going to reboot. Please wait a few moments." Therefore, the CFE miniweb server page didn't boot up. Could there be something wrong with my modified bootloader file? The CFE (both Huawei Emergency Upgrade & the modified CFE) will reboot the router after a while, so you must complete the flashing before that happen. You probably leave the CFE running too long that the router already restarted itself. If possible, flash the firmware as soon as you manage to enter the CFE.

Somehow I have the sudden urge to buy one as well even though I already have a AC1750 router.. This is a really good deal! Any downsides to this router? How's the signal reach?
