QUOTE(nko6213 @ Jul 9 2016, 05:40 PM) i don't und how ur problem relate to aircond and all. previously air cond got problem meh? if none means the workshop chop u d. the aircond compressor actually as been faulty, and because of that, it has been drawing power away from the engine..everytime i rev up to 3k rpm (before shifting gears) when going uphill, it will have a pull-back feel.. after changing the aircond compressor, that issue no longer persist.. At first i thought that is normal, but i asked and tried my friend's myvi 1.0, found out they didn't have this problem.. so i got it checked out, and was told of this aircond compressor issue.. QUOTE(makky @ Jul 9 2016, 07:41 PM) i don't think that's possible.. a new engine easily cost up to 5k, and plus the hassle of getting approval from jpj.. btw replacement of engine still wouldnt solve the issue yet, but after doing all the items mentioned, the car is much better now.. only left is the engine mounting, in which can be done at a later stage This post has been edited by jeffro: Jul 10 2016, 12:55 PM |

QUOTE(jeffro @ Jul 10 2016, 12:53 PM) the aircond compressor actually as been faulty, and because of that, it has been drawing power away from the engine.. not necessarily bro. if your aircond was cold and no issues except pulling power; then its not totally compressor issue. could be the pulley's issue that needs servicing aka lubrication, pulley replacement etc. most workshops will just tell u it's faulty. reason being, more revenue and profit, plus replacing is easier than repairing a part.everytime i rev up to 3k rpm (before shifting gears) when going uphill, it will have a pull-back feel.. after changing the aircond compressor, that issue no longer persist.. Currently it's not facing any issue like pulling power, metal cranking or engine stopping.. Will need to ask another mechanic to check on this the next time i send for service.. Thanks! |

QUOTE(jeffro @ Jun 30 2016, 01:55 PM) Car is Myvi 1.0 Manual, age of car is about 9 years + Buy new car lah.....so many new Potong inkambing.this month my car spoiled 3 times.. suddenly the car just 'fell asleep' while driving on highway.. 1st time fix: mechanic say engine plug need to change Damage cost: nearly RM100 Fixed ady, then 2 weeks later same thing happened. But before the car 'feel asleep', the car was jerking. 2nd time fix: say clutch, drive shaft and timing sensor spoiled, so need change also Damage cost: nearly RM1k Fixed ady, then 1 day later same thing happened AGAIN! This time got metal cranking sounds, car jerking, lost of power, and yellow engine light on, and it fell asleep. Able to start the car after a few minutes of rest (car very sleepy i think) 3rd time, want to fix: say mayb it's engine issue, if open it up, labor charge ady rm600. This price not inclusive of repair and replacement of parts. Some things confirmed need to be replaced if the engine is opened up. Have you experience the metal cranking sound with car jerking issues? What maybe the cause of this problem? Sappork Potong, be a patriot. |
