Has anyone used CIMB CR to purchase KLIA Express single trip ticket before?

KLIA Express has a RM40 only per trip promo with Mastercard, but it mentions that if the card is offering cashback, then it will be taking precedence over this RM40 promo.

Does that mean, using CIMB CR only gets 5% but paying full price of RM55?

just checked my online statement. KLIA express online purchase ticket is eligible for 5%. However, credit card via uber app is not eligible. only have 0.2%. anyone encountered the same? if this is indeed correct, ts please update front page. Anyone knows if GRAB is entitled to 5%?

1. KLIA express online is confirmed to be entitled to 5% cb
2. Uber is not entltled

I purchase 2 single trip klia express online from klia2 to kl sentral in August, priced at 44 per ticket after discount. Checked this months statement and cash back is there.

I'll supplement a screen capture of my statement if I have time tonight

If return I think is 40 per way, which makes it 80. If single trip it is 44 per way, 20% discount. Correct me if I am wrong

In other words, it's Discount + 5% cashback from CIMB CR!
That's nice!

anyone applied CIMB card via online before?
Does this mean approved?
Attached Image

I remember the last one was "Approved/Cancelled/Rejected" previously.
Usually how long does it take to send the card.

No, I don't think so. It's still at stage two? No date shown in stage 3 onward. I think you will need to call CS to clarify. If based on my understanding, I don't think it's approved yet. hmm.gif Previously were there any tick next to Process and Approved?

Previously the last 2 tick is in grey color
And the last one is "approved/cancelled/rejected"
Will try to call cs later. Wonder they have IVR for card applications status?

card application is approved, which i tried apply in Mar and May get rejected from CIMB card centre, but success via online application on Aug.
Maybe perhaps I accept the agent offer that issue 2 card (CIMB CR + CIMB Tesco).

The credit limit is shared and both card is annual fee waive for life.
Question is, will this 2 card appear as separate card in CCRIS report which will give impression to other bank that I hold one more extra card?
Or CCRIS will show the information based on the credit limit only?

CCRIS will show both cards since they're not having the same card number.

Wonder will it same with MBB 2 card, which listed 2 card under 1 credit facility.

After checked the CIMB Tesco benefit, useless card. will call to cancel after received
<RM3000 for 2% rebate,
>RM3000 for 5%
but capped at RM50.

even spend all in tesco, the max rebate can get is only 2%, will never get 5% since 50 rebate for RM3000 spend = 1.67% rebate only

That Tesco card is not a replacement for RHB Tesco card.
Nothing is so fancy about it.

2% rebate can be accommodated by CIMB CR MC if you're not a heavy spender in both online and groceries category.

yes, will cancel it since it doesnt suite me.

btw, here is my understanding on CIMB CR, is that correct?
1. statement date fixed at 28th, cannot be changed
2. cash rebate earn is by calendar month, will posted in next month 28th
3. cash rebate Credit will be included in next month statement balance (to offset) when it generate statement at 28th.

1. Statement date: 28th
2. Posted in the next statement (new ledger); if you have Clicks access, you can see it gets posted 2 to 3 days later.
3. Some claimed no; better pay outstanding in full

Avoid doing this, too many got slapped with financial charges. They don't recognize cash back as a payment to offset against statement balance.

do you mean during Oct 28th, we should see the Sep rebate posted at Oct 28-30, which will fall in next statement cycle already?
so Oct statement mostly will not have Sep rebate being offset in the Oct Statement balance but fall in Nov statement balance instead?

so this will feel like the rebate for current month credit in after 2 months.
