My brother's car recently tyre koyak, planning to change for him but not sure what's good. Have always been using Michelin PS3 for all of our cars but thought I'd like to try something else this time. Maybe some cheaper brands but with about similar performance. Tyre size is 185/55R16. Thought of trying Hankook V12 Evo 2 but don't think got this size. Continental MC5 I read some bad reviews. Is Yokohama brand good?

Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Bros, how is conti mc6 real usage review. Currently on ps3, hv to change all 4 donuts, 235 45 18. Ps4 kinda high on price and car mostly used by missus.

Another option is re003 as sellers recommend it. But will it hv any impact since traction is A as others hv AA rating

It all depends on type of road one drives...if its only highway then around twice a year (every six months).

I do mine 3 times a years

well...i would said rotate based on range u clocked. not highway or city drive. although highway drive eats into tyres more

ideally would be 20k km rotate once.

for me i rotate once during 30k km.

What I meant here is, rotation plus balancing. Most of time, running at highway, instills less damage to wheel. Driving more on rural area and housing estate, where there are more potholes and uneven roads, causes more misalignment to your wheel, which eventually gonna reduce your tire lifespan, it its not balanced and rotated frequently.

i see but my 95% highway also cause my alignment to run away as well. the last miles is the pot hole and speed bump.

Would say depend on road condition.

for balancing is less of worry as balancing does not run away like alignment unless you taken off your tires be4.

speaking of balancing, i prefer on-wheel balancing. it is the most accurate balancing i would say.

The other balancing method that require taking off the rims and put into a machine to have it balance is damn inaccurate. Tried several other shop uses this method got some serious vibration on the steering during highspeed.

When i go back to the shop that did on-wheel balancing, the steering would not even vibrate even i clock the speed higher than before.

The only review I've read is comparing MC6 to the previous, not so good, MC5 and the MC6 is indeed much better than MC5. But don't know yet if as good as PS3/4 coz not yet seen any comparison tests on MC6 with those top UHP tires.

RE003 is more focused on dry performance as you can see it has big tread block designs with less water channels so in the wet would not be as good a PS3/4. This is also indicated by the A traction rating that you mentioned. This traction rating is actually about wet traction. Finally, RE003 will wear off faster than PS3/4 as indicated by a rather low tread wear rating of just 220 as opposed to PS3/4 at 320.

I suppose in your case, since there isn't much option of getting a good yet relatively cheaper UHP tire at this size, then it might be worth to try the MC6. What is your car btw, the Accord 2.4?

Already showing lots of cracks in the treads indicating that the rubber is getting hardened. Can still use but just don't drive fast, but should change soon.

Alignment does not "run away" that easily, by just hitting a few pot holes or speed lump. Is there by any chance you are the victim of adjustable camber nut scam?

Well, daily hit of unavoidable pot holes and speed bump does ruining my alignment.

i usually go and do my alignment every 10k km whenever i do my car service
