Hi Might be a bit off topic. Getting my car in Oct.

Just wanna ask how tender number work. Let's say I want number xxxx and I don't want to wait, I can just tender, pay any amount more than 210, and if lucky no one tender for that number, I will get it eventually after 1 month? Or there is a minimum amount to tender a number?

Anyone did any research for car a good dashcam? Any expert shop in klang valley?
I'm looking for :
1) dashcam that can record with decent resolution day and night.
2) start recording when the car is hit when parking.
3) optional, dual channel (2 cam, one in front, one in the back)
4) optional, GPS

You need to know how much you're willing to spend on dashcam.

For 2 & 3, you can look for Korean dashcam as they are they best for dual dashcam and parking mode. But not cheap.

Dual dashcam from China cannot compare with Korean dashcam at the moment...

I've currently reviewed the mini0807 and the parking mode is working nicely and it's plugged to the OBDII port instead using a hardwire kit.

You can check my profile of the dashcams reviewed in LYN...

Another thing, most local shops are selling China dashcams and you can get them online like taobao, aliexpress, gearbest and banggood for way way cheaper.

Korean dashcam is very rare unless you look for them in JB or SG.

Taiwan dashcam like Transcend, Papago or Garmin, need to research a bit as their price is not cheap. Some are good.

Branded dashcam like Philips or Blaupunkt is expensive and you can get better specs dashcam from China for the same price.

Thank you. I'll go check your review.
My budget is not decided yet, if the functionality and quality of the dashcam is good, i won't mind increase my budget.

Anyone here got dashcam installed?

I'm driving continental car to work everyday. Since there are people reported of overheating issue, then it is nothing to talk about this vehicle.

Speaking of DVR, I recommend 2:

A) Transcend DrivePro 520. GPS. Lazada selling RM659. with 2 years warranty. Wifi/GPS, 2 cameras. But rear camera record Rear Passangers. Ideal for Uber/Grabcar.

or

B) Transcend DrivePro 220. GPS, LDWS, FCWS, Parking mode, Wifi, Speed Alarm. Lazada selling RM429.

I spoke to 3 SA in Ipoh, 1 SA mention that if u want original Honda leather they have to get a specialist frm Taiping to do up  and is not cheap.
1 other mention that Honda don't give optional purchase for leather. ..better and way cheaper to do up outside which cost RM2K +.
The other mention he can recommend a very reliable one that may cost RM3K includes panel.
Best part is u can choose your leather even customised it 2 tone colour.  Cool...

I think original leather also won't feel the same as the original seat from 1.5 turbo. because after all, it is still wrapped under the fabric seats.
will be getting mine 1.8 on august.

Salesgirls said if take the leather from them, it will be nearly the same as the ori seats from 1.5t, but my friend which is a SA who work there say otherwise.

unless you change the whole seat to leather seats, not wrapped in leather laugh.gif anyhow, i decided to wrap the door and armrest in leather only, the fabric seat is not that bad anyway, so gonna leave it and probably change the whole seat (to leather) if really found a nice one.

Heard from SA that they replace the fabric with leather. Meaning they return u the fabric for keep.
Meantime ,if u decided to leathered the interior, include the panels just like the turbo version. Package cover only seats or include panels. 2 different prices.

Do be careful as a member in City group gotten a DP520 with out of focus issue, can see clearly very near but infront of the car is blur. Also some members have battery issue with DP220.

Best to get dashcams using capacitors instead of battery for the hot weather in Malaysia.

Just got a message from my super SA - I have been assigned a chassis number already, so should be soon!

Windshield: Llumar AVS
VLT 69%
TSER 52%
IR Rejected 93%
UV Rejected 99%
Warranty 5 Years
Color Neutral

Side Screen: Llumar Diamond 6
VLT 63%
TSER 59%
IR Rejected 97%
UV Rejected 99%
Break Strength 181 lb/inch
Tensile Strength 32,000 lb/inch2
Puncture Strength 111 lb

Warranty 10 Years
Color Green

Rear Screen: Llumar Gold
VLT 63%
TSER 43%

The downside is the colour of the tint. But I guess still ok coz the original glass colour of the Civic is greenish as well I think.
*
I take a tint with at least 60% tser.
Settled mine with wingard royale. Comes with safety and 60% tser.
