42% TSER for the front... Should be less than 70% IRR 😂 And windscreen is the most important.
I checked if you get Llumar Diamond 6, they use Llumar Gold for the windscreen.

VLT - 63%
TSER - 43%
IRR - 93%
Warranty - 7 yrs

Well I asked the question if those who want can PM me their details and when they are able to go leave their cars at Regal Valet.

Nobody responded. So my hands are tied I guess.

But there was an owner here who mentioned my post to their SA at Honda Jln Damansara, TTDI.  biggrin.gif

Bro, I am interested. Let me know yeah should you manage to get special price. I heard, the promotion was over and it costs around RM 3,800 to coat the car now.

Thanks bro smile.gif

The 3m horizon safety is sweat.gif . Literally sweat.gif in the car. According to the list, ray barrier 4 is superior in every aspects.

Higher spec 3m film should be on par with rb4 but will cost more.

For rm1.5k and jpj compliant film, rb4 is quite alright. But anything above rm2k, u can get better film out there.

Based on spec, it seem RB4 better than 3M horizon. But my SA still recommend 3M due to its name.

What a forumer said earlier is very true (in my opinion). Dark colors don't bring out the best in this car. Bit of a shame actually.

Today I saw the Modern Steel and Red in bright sunlight. The red looked better but the Modern Steel looked dull. More of an oldie color. Looks fine in the shade but in the day time especially on the grey road, quite dull.

Best color for this Civic with its modern design and chrome bits is the White and Lunar Silver (in my opinion). Even a carbon black (blueish) similar to the BMW 5 Series would look quite nice with this car.

Anyway still a very good car and value for money regardless of the color.
*
Modern Steel is the signature color of the US Civic launch. However it's the top spec touring model pictured in brochures and catalogs with the turbo design wheels and chrome bits. I think it really matches the design of the car. This is the first Civic designed by US designers and they did a fantastic job making it stand out and make the competition designs look very dated. Also the most "euro" looking color in my opinion on the car. Yes I do agree that for the 1.8 MSM somehow doesn't bring out the best of the car. Curious to see more 1.8s in other colors as well. Maybe its the turbo wheel design that makes the car look good??!

You never know it is retarding the ignition timing if you run something like 95.

Please la. Even BMW uses RON95 with no issue.

RON95 should be ok, can save money a bit to pay toll.. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Civic is Euro 4M compliance because the catalytic converter are designed for that spec emission.. Euro 4M has nothing to do with car performance.
Anyway by using RON97 4M, you are helping to reduce the sulfur pollutants into the enviro for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
And also will help to prolong the car's catalytic converter life.

Honda's 3M isn't from 3M USA. It is a house brand tint manufactured from Korea and with that specs and current hot climate it wont give you optimum heat rejection.
Tint with TSER >50 considered ok

The higher the VLT, the lesser TSER. We can always compensate lower TSER in front windscreen by putting up sunshade when it's parked.

Hmm, I was comparing it against Raytech's offerings which is about RM2800 as well.

Just comparing windscreen, Ultra 70 73% VLT, 98% IRR --> TSER 58%... now I'm a bit suspicious how these company calculate TSER.

"Using non-metallized and low infrared rejection films, customers do not need to worry about interference of electromagnetic signals such as the usage of GPS and Smart Tag." from below article. Which means the ones given is basically low IR rejection rate to avoid issues with smart tag... but somewhat similar TSER with the Llumar which looked much higher spec?

http://www.honda.com.my/corporate/press_re...lers-Nationwide

The other higher end EcoTint had much better TSER with similar spec as the Llumar.

Spec given by Ecotint shop is slightly different. Also 10 yrs warranty vs Honda 5. Not sure if they r exactly the same type. For the solar only price was about 2k n security one 2.8k. For front screen, can use the one with VLT 63% . Although not compliant but can claim if jpj saman. So any real experience with the product would be a big help for me to go with the shop offer or not.

These options from EcoTint shop has much better spec than the Honda variants... but for 2.8k, should consider going for those US based films like Vkool, 3M, Raytech, Llumar and Huber Optik instead?

Nope, not me. I was the 5th guy out of the dealership on Monday - but there must be a lot more that got their cars already I guess. I heard that a lot of people couldn't get their loan approved, so quite a few people got bumped up the list sweat.gif

Saw this clip showing how to access back of the HU and install bypass cable for the parking brake. Even he use the pry to open, can see minor dent on that portion at passenger side, wala heartache man if like this.
