Mind refer which outlet u book from?  Intend to wrap the seats and panel to leather? Thanks ahead.  Was also eyeing on lunar silver but none of the showroom in Ipoh display this colour unit.  Didn't even get to test drive.
*
I booked via Ban Hoe Seng, no Lunar silver car to see also. But book it anyway. I have asked the dealer, they said only able to do after market leather wrap. Dun think will go for it. Do u plan to buy?

Definitely but no hurry. Was close to ordering Altis last year. Haven't decide which Civic model yet but if I were to get the 1.8 version I would like to go for leather seats but was informed to seek after market specialist. Was informed to seek after market  seller as it's not an  optional item.
*
I see. I am not in a hurry too. Was thinking of HRV or altis, but settled down with Civic. If my civic is out, maybe u can come to have a look. For after market leather, not sure if there is any good one? Maybe i just do the wrap at main console. Cheers!

Not worth, as you can get higher spec tinting from 3M, Raytech, llumar and etc.

Really, can anyone has idea of price for 3M CR70 for front, CR40 for back, Nano 40 for window?

I would think the major problem is when u sell your car with tinted glass, as u need puspakom inspection. In normal situation, how many times u see JPJ stop a car due to car too dark tinted?

dun think the officer will stop u for getting 10% to 20% off based on eye side.

The 3m horizon safety is  sweat.gif . Literally  sweat.gif in the car. According to the list, ray barrier 4 is superior in every aspects.

Higher spec 3m film should be on par with rb4 but will cost more.

For rm1.5k and jpj compliant film, rb4 is quite alright. But anything above rm2k, u can get better film out there.
*
Based on spec, it seem RB4 better than 3M horizon. But my SA still recommend 3M due to its name.

These options from EcoTint shop has much better spec than the Honda variants... but for 2.8k, should consider going for those US based films like Vkool, 3M, Raytech, Llumar and Huber Optik instead?
*
I have asked the 3M dealer, the Honda tint offer is direct cut material from manufacturer, so the dealer only do the tinting sub con works for honda. So the film grade might be different.

My 1.8 arrived at the dealer. Hopefully able to register tomorrow smile.gif

For those asking if 1.8 is underpowered. It isn't, and more than sufficient for a normal city drive.
*
When did u book it? I booked 1 day after the launching, still waiting for allocation. Pls write a review after yr drive.

Just collected my wife's Civic 1.8S Lunar Silver this evening.

I drove about 50km in total since. My brief observations:

1) The 1.8 CVT is NOT sluggish at all. A complete difference to the City and its slight more powerful than the HRV. I think its been tuned to suit the Civic.
2) NVH is good and gives you the conti feel. But Honda should have done a better job with the NVH between the engine compartment and the cabin.
3) The CVT gets loud when you floor the pedal during hard acceleration but very quiet when cruising
3) Tyre noise is there probably due to Conti MC5 tyres (which are just medium range)
4) Fabric seats are sufficiently comfortable but I would take leather anytime
5) Seats are well designed and suits body contours well.
6) Steering feels firm when cruising and light when manoeuvring. Honda did an excellent job here.
7) Brakes are good and gives you that extra confidence
8) Aircon is damn cold. I usually have the temp set at around 19 deg in my own car but in the Civic I had it at 24 deg.
9) Suspension is a bit on the firm side but makes cornering good

Really satisfied with the 1.8S. I was preparing myself for a sluggish ride especially since I drive a F10 myself. But kudos to Honda for doing a good job in minimising the negative effects of the CVT.
*
Glad to hear that! Hope i can get mine soon. With the price tag for the features, cabin size and NVH, i believe it is one of the best value so far.

Just a short survey, what VLT % u guys plan to tint for windshield and side? It seem the trend is getting darker one. Some r using VLT40 for the whole car.

Received my car yesterday. Still untinted.
Quotation from 3M for FWS Crystalline 60, SW Nano 40 and RWS Crystalline 40 for RM2.6k
Worth it?
*
Ok woh! Is it the one opposite MGS? They quoted me higher it seem. Crystalline is the best for 3M. Any discount voucher from dealer?

Because very few Malaysians would have opted for it. You would be surprised that, given a choice, many Malaysians still opt for cheaper variants that doesn't come with Electronic Stability Control and less airbags just because its cheaper.

And to retrofit just a few cars on the assembly line with an additional package, doesn't make economic sense from the production perspective.

And for me, all these safety features are good but it will come to nothing if we still cannot practice basic safety like wearing rear seatbelts. Im quite certain at least 50% of the forumers on LYN do not bother to wear rear seatbelts and also do not ensure their passengers wear them. I make it a point to look at other cars on my daily commute to/fro work and I would say 90% with rear passengers are not buckled in.
*
Safety features r one of the reason i choose civic instead of Altis. A lot of ppl dun even know the importance of VSC.

If you have one wheel stuck in the sand, you need to off VSC to get out. If you on VSC the wheel will get deeper.

I guess the vsc off also cater for some ppl want to push the car hard for some fun driving, say drifting. But i doubt the new civic able to do it without the manual handbrake.

For 1000KM service, I would think an oil change would be good, as it will drain out dirty oils and metals during the first 1000km run.
