Turbo's usually have their own problems as it is a wear and tear part too. This engine is new,  so no one knows yet for now.

The turbochargers can leak oil,  but as usual we have Tong Turbo in our good graces. Even some parts like i dun know if this l15b7 uses some plasticky blow off valve which needs to changed after some time and so on and so  forth.

So,  there is extra stuff to replace when time comes. But,  the good news is that hopefully the saving you get from the economical drive will more than make up for those repairs and replacements.

Thanks. Another question for folks test driven both 1.8 and 1.5tc, is 1.8 significantly under powered? I liked the 1.5tcp of course, smile.gif

From today...car plate WDxxxxA....latest at 7.30 pm:
    WILAYAH PERSEKUTUAN KUALA LUMPUR
    WD1362A
Yes WD...A started just before lunch. Check at around 9pm for the final closing number for today.

Anyway I rushed and managed to get a 3 digit WD...A for my wife in the afternoon. Very simple process. Don't even need to fill up any forms. From the time I arrived at JPJ Wangsa Maju till the time we left about 40mins only.

Finally my car coating, tinting "gao tim" (done). Tomorrow should be able to get my 1.5tc. But I still need to return back to the service centre after 1 week to install body kits.

According to SA, the body kits parts have yet to arrive. sad.gif

The point is that if the turbines are spooled up easily. You have something like max torque around 2k revs? Which makes the car very easy to trundle around town.

This is the part that a 1.8NA will not be able to match not to mention there is more torque than the NA counterpart.

I installed alarm with auto start in my wira in yr 2000 and had been used that features since then before sold it in 2006...

I guess so tongue.gif it's also my first time having a car with remote start too

QUOTE(nm7 @ Jun 29 2016, 07:21 PM)
You never know it is retarding the ignition timing if you run something like 95.

Don't compare ecotint to vkool and Llumar la. Their cheapest tint already can kill people already,  price wise.

Is it a good thing that you can remote the car so far away?
*
The car is designed to run on RON95, so no timing retardation.

The cabin is cooled down and engine is warmed up before I go down from my office. Definitely a plus.

What a forumer said earlier is very true (in my opinion). Dark colors don't bring out the best in this car. Bit of a shame actually.

Today I saw the Modern Steel and Red in bright sunlight. The red looked better but the Modern Steel looked dull. More of an oldie color. Looks fine in the shade but in the day time especially on the grey road, quite dull.

Best color for this Civic with its modern design and chrome bits is the White and Lunar Silver (in my opinion). Even a carbon black (blueish) similar to the BMW 5 Series would look quite nice with this car.

Anyway still a very good car and value for money regardless of the color.

Saw a Red Honda Civic 1.5T at Regal Valet, Damansara when I went to wash my car today. Anybody from here?

There was also a Rolls Royce there doing the GYEON MOHS+ coating.  brows.gif

I think the Honda has done well with the design of the Civic. Sporty yet mature enough.

IRR should be the most important factor of comparison. Next comes TSER.

Regal Valet is offering a 20% discount for Raya. But if there are about 3-5 Civic owners who do their coating together, then they can offer a further 10-15% discount.

This is for their MOHS+ coating. I already bought for my wife's Civic at RM2,180 but that's only for that particular weekend.

And yes they are Premium car detailer.

Suddenly the coating discussion stopped. Can we arrange to get a further 15% discount on this smile.gif

Well I asked the question if those who want can PM me their details and when they are able to go leave their cars at Regal Valet.

Nobody responded. So my hands are tied I guess.

But there was an owner here who mentioned my post to their SA at Honda Jln Damansara, TTDI. biggrin.gif

42% TSER for the front... Should be less than 70% IRR 😂 And windscreen is the most important.

The higher the VLT, the lesser TSER. We can always compensate lower TSER in front windscreen by putting up sunshade when it's parked.
