How YTL can get a hold on 800MHz band 20 in the first place?
No open tender is being made also. If it's just a trial, until when the trial ends? |

QUOTE(farhansz @ Apr 8 2019, 09:57 AM) No need la... Just let the 700MHz to the big 4 telcos. Yes have so much bandwidth, yet subscribers so less. They already have 2300MHz, 2600MHz and now the 800MHz that they can use, without public open tender? Enough already la. Don't waste natural resources. There are many ways to do business and be rich. QUOTE(se800i @ Apr 8 2019, 01:46 PM) It's a broadband MiFi. It is meant to carry along anywhere you go, and enable the WiFi hotspot so that you can use it across your devices like phone, laptop. This is how Yes 4G service like last time, the Wimax era. But Yes 4G has LTE service now, where a SIM card will be inserted to phone, and use 4G LTE service like the usual telco. |

Am thinking of using konfem 4G plan (ie prepaid unlimited data) for my computer ONLY (by inserting the sim card into the TP-link modem cum router). YES mentioned tethering/hotspot is not supported on smartphone, huddle and zoom devices for this plan.
1) Since I'm not tethering, is this ok because I'm not inserting the sim card into phone but into modem for computer use? 2) If I were to test this out, can they lock my computer or modem or sim card or will they slap me with a penalty? This post has been edited by abcn1n: Apr 9 2019, 10:54 PM |

QUOTE(vanillapire @ Apr 9 2019, 10:56 PM) Thank you very much. Was very afraid to do it but when I read the website, it did mention about zoom and huddle devices not supporting tethering, that's why I thought it would be ok using my own modem/router. So your confirmation is very important. |
