They have postpaid and prepaid plans. Konfem 4G is prepaid while the rest of the other Konfem plans are postpaid. The 'funny' thing is for the postpaid Konfem plans they never mentioned about speed cap but I guess there is speed cap since they entice us to buy more for 'no speed cap'.

Wonder what is the speed cap for postpaid Konfem plans? Is it like prepaid capped at 4Mbps?

Am thinking of using konfem 4G plan (ie prepaid unlimited data) for my computer ONLY (by inserting the sim card into the TP-link modem cum router).  YES mentioned tethering/hotspot is not supported on smartphone, huddle and zoom devices for this plan.

1) Since I'm not tethering, is this ok because I'm not inserting the sim card into phone but into modem for computer use?

2) If I were to test this out, can they lock my computer or modem or sim card or will they slap me with a penalty?
*
putting it in a modem is considered as tethering. not limited to phones only.

It's a broadband MiFi. It is meant to carry along anywhere you go, and enable the WiFi hotspot so that you can use it across your devices like phone, laptop.
This is how Yes 4G service like last time, the Wimax era.

But Yes 4G has LTE service now, where a SIM card will be inserted to phone, and use 4G LTE service like the usual telco.

If want to carry additional modem to outside... I rather choose to be inserted a simcard into the phone so that more easy...

Because you are breaking the terms of service. Purposely circumventing the blockade is a more serious breach of terms of service. By signing up for the internet package, you are agreeing to adhere to the terms of service and hence it is illegal.

You don't need to be a lawyer to understand the civil law don't you? The problem is it is costly to file a lawsuit so you hardly notice any court case that involves breach of ToS.

Because they don't have concrete proof and making statutory declaration could be used against the user even with circumstantial proof.
