Am thinking of subscribing for YES prepaid unlimited $30 for 30 days.
1) However, heard that only 3 phones ie Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro, Yes Altitude 2 and Xiomi Redmi 6A supports it? Is that true or are there other phones that support it?
2) Does it allow for tethering to my laptop? If not, what YES plans allow tethering to laptop?

Thanks khk1987.
1) When I looked at YES website for the RM30 for 10GB+10GB, it says it comes with free basic internet. What does it mean by basic internet? My purpose of subscribing to YES is not for calls. Its for internet purpose. If the speed is too slow, then there's no point subscribing for it.
2) With regards to Konfem turbo $5/day--is tethering to laptop allowed?
Anybody can help?

Am thinking of using konfem 4G plan (ie prepaid unlimited data) for my computer ONLY (by inserting the sim card into the TP-link modem cum router). YES mentioned tethering/hotspot is not supported on smartphone, huddle and zoom devices for this plan.
1) Since I'm not tethering, is this ok because I'm not inserting the sim card into phone but into modem for computer use?
2) If I were to test this out, can they lock my computer or modem or sim card or will they slap me with a penalty?

QUOTE(vanillapire @ Apr 9 2019, 10:56 PM) Can bypass yes.. I have been doing it for long time Thank you very much. Was very afraid to do it but when I read the website, it did mention about zoom and huddle devices not supporting tethering, that's why I thought it would be ok using my own modem/router. So your confirmation is very important.

QUOTE(tympg @ Apr 9 2019, 11:00 PM) I thought Konfem was postpaid. They have postpaid and prepaid plans. Konfem 4G is prepaid while the rest of the other Konfem plans are postpaid. The 'funny' thing is for the postpaid Konfem plans they never mentioned about speed cap but I guess there is speed cap since they entice us to buy more for 'no speed cap'. Wonder what is the speed cap for postpaid Konfem plans? Is it like prepaid capped at 4Mbps?

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Apr 9 2019, 11:09 PM) putting it in a modem is considered as tethering. not limited to phones only. Thanks. I thought it would be ok as using it for 1 computer only and nothing else. But guess its not

QUOTE(Netter @ Jul 3 2019, 11:07 PM) Hi, I got YES RM 5 credit, using KONFEM 30, usually I bought through FPX RM 30, is that possible for me to top up RM 25 so that I could use balance credit to purchase KONFEM 30 next month? Does purchasing KONFEM 30 automatically made my line active for 30 days? There's no button to purchase $25. So use the $5 to make calls etc. QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jul 4 2019, 12:26 AM) Thanks, you also answers the person above you I believe yes validity does not stack, so to utilizes thirty days of konfem, you need to topup rm30 and purchase konfem on same day I purchased konfem 2 days before my expiry and ended up with 2 konfem packages

Does it mean whenever we port from 1 telco to another, we need to inform all the banks? I thought we don't have to as the phone # is still the same. Planning to port out my number from Redone to Unifi and now am afraid

QUOTE(mman @ Jul 19 2019, 10:28 PM) I faced the problem only after port in to Yes 4g. I have port in & out with thr same number from maxis to tunetalk to digi to tinetalk to maxis to tunetalk to umobile all without any issue... and now to yes4g.. first time had issue. Btw... its solved now after call both telco and bank. Public bank and maybank TAC works well, im not sure about other bank. But shopee TAC still unable to receive. mman Thank you. So it seems Yes may be the culprit.
