Hi Guys, For Yes5g if anyone facing the issue which when i on 5g, the line will non stop disconnect and switch between 4g and 5g. if i turn off 5g and only run 4g, everything is stable.

Any idea ?
*
Means your place has poor 5G. If this case best is turn off 5G and use 4G only if not will consume a lot of battery.

Seems like Yes began enabling VoWiFi support more widely... tried calls & SMS and both works in Airplane Mode

And if you are using Xiaomi, you can try dialing *#*#869434#*#* (*#*#VoWiFi#*#*) if VoWiFi option isn't in SIM settings... probably also need latest update for phone software/Carrier Services app/Google Play System Update)

May I know what phone are you using and which yes plan are you on? Is the vowifi stable? Like available all the time when your phone on WiFi? Cause my Digi line vowifi drops once in a while.

Can't say about the stability as I don't use Yes as my primary number (using it primarily as data SIM)...

https://soyacincau.com/2023/03/28/ios-16-4-...es-5g-malaysia/

I’m using Iphone 13, with ios 16.5.1, which Yes can be used for data and call. Hotspot, no. There should be Personal Hotspot option under Mobile data, but the option missing when switched to Yes sim for data.

For me on 10 days of using YES rm35 postpaid, it great and best bang for money. 100gb data combo with hotspot is jackpot cz my working situation need to go site and laptop need data, this setting is great. 5G all the way in JB and Pasir gudang is helping a lot. In Mall, in heading LG 5G lost and sometimes 4G also less bar vs previously Umobile 4G.

Tested 2 weeks with yes 5g and umobile, i found that yes occasionally connect to 4g when in crowded area, while umobile can maintain 5g. The 5g signal is 3-4 bar, but when the tg tower is congested, yes would prefer to stick to 4g.
Also getting phone to lock on NR only is not applicable in Malaysia i guess, while most tower are nsa thus NR would resulted in no connection?

I agree, sometimes (not all the time) Yes will stick to 4G even the 5G tower literally just mere metres away... need aeroplane mode toggling to fix that

DNB doesn't support SA yet, that's why locking to NR only results in no signal.

I am not sure but it looks like YTL Yes no longer has band 20 for 4G. Nowadays it just connects to band 40 in my area…

Still have it here in last few days

It would be very weird for Yes to withdraw B20 usage as that would severely limit their 4G coverage

I do, speed is ok when your home is near 5G towers. 98% of the time stable (as I experienced only 1 night with slower speed).
