Yes will give you a new number. You can port in your current number anytime and continue using the new Yes sim. The option is in the MyYes app. However, I suggest you test the Yes service first before committing to porting.

Really ? For e.g I am having a FT5G prepaid sim with random number now, once my test for the prepaid sim is over and I am happy with YES speed, I can just port over my other existing h/p number (u mobile) to YES prepaid, with the current prepaid sim ?

Thanks for compiling the QNA.

Thinking to get for Modem. Saw in group mention getting 5G modem much better.
5G modem so expensive. Hope 4G can get around 50-100 good enough.
Can slowly finish the data.
*
You need to buy the premium modem to get 50-100MBPS speed. Most modem below RM300 only give you lousy speed of 15-20mbps

Something like Huawei B525, B618 or B818 only can get faster speed than 30mbps.

B818 many recommended. Wish to buy but too late.

Previously around RM5XX then now up to RM7XX.

Last time at my relative's place without Wi-Fi.

Very tempted to try, haha.

B818 price up probably due to U mobile U home5G package, but it cannot be used for YES because none of B818 is modded.

Your best chance is B618 65a or B525 65a, with mod and unlocked for telco.

B818 able to get 5G?
*
No, this is a 4G CPE modem.

Most if not all 5G modem cost closed to RM1k right now.

Just bite the bullet and get one to enjoy high speed 5G earlier better thumbup.gif

I bought Yeacomm NR330 modem during 6/6 sales, total I paid was RM918 if not mistaken. Best decision ever biggrin.gif

My previous B525-65A only delivered about 30mbps at my home area, swapped the 5G simcard to Yeacomm modem, boomed my speed became 300-500 mbps. Super happy till now. Subsequently sold off the B525 for RM350 wink.gif

Yes hopefully can buy it during year end sale.  nod.gif
Is there any other modem that support 5G other than Yeacomm and Four Faith?
*
I think you get what you pay, when it comes to the sheer speed of 5G connection of it's wifi speed (when use the modem as router). Take the wifi 2.4ghz and 5ghz speed divided by 8 ya

Yeacomm

Huawei and others

China Unicorn (cheaper at RM600+), much less bands do note.

So, Yeacomm is still among the best when it comes to price-performance ratio.

Any1 using YES prepaid (RM30) for modified modem? Is it stable?
*
I do, speed is ok when your home is near 5G towers. 98% of the time stable (as I experienced only 1 night with slower speed).

Anyone having an issue with YES, sometimes the networks is gone and sometimes it become 4G at the same place.

No problem for me, rock stable.

Using modded 5G Yeacomm modem, locked B28 + N78 band.
