If you make a habit of that better set up a local VPN on your home connection. Public wifis are bad for privacy.

Are you on wireless when you do the speedtest?

Try using cable and see. This will iron out if it is really TM's problem, or if it is the wireless interference issue at your side.

i also feel at wangsa maju area and my office area at ampang park. Load quite slow. Both using 30Mbps, if update apps from oversea much more worse

Hi,

Today I got a call from TM that my housing area got UniFi already. She offered me 30Mbps package for RM199. I asked her got other lower package, she said don't have.

May I know can I directly go TM office to register 5MB or 10MB package?

No, plan been discontinued, no way to get it now. Well, unless you know someone who wish to cancel/upgrade their old plan and is willing to transfer to your house...

Maxis does have cheaper packages, but do some research on why so many people left Maxis Fibre to get UniFi
As bad as TM goes, they are still the best fixed broadband provider in Malaysia (Except for Time Fibre)

Time Fibre on the other hand, has very limited availability

Your UniFi is on VDSL or full FTTH?

Call TM helpline - 100, then request them to send a technician to go to your place and show them the issue

FTTH, never encountered this before after using unifi for 5 years, this happened after I switched my wifi router to huawei ws880, however, it is my BTU performed VOIP VLAN untag and convert it PSTN signal, so it shouldn't be caused by Hauwei wifi router

Switch back to TM's original router and see if you still have the same issue
If yes, then the problem is probably with the BTU or TM's side

I highly doubt WS880 is the cause of the issue

Hi guys, I applied UniFi, but later on they tell me no service..
Then I went to apply for Streamyx, on the phone the guys ask a lot of thing and recorded the voice for record. I reply yes I wanted to install... Lastly, he told me I need to go TMPoint to sign a 2 year contract for Streamyx, processing time would be 1 week.

Later on the UniFi agent called me and told me have service.. Then of course I would install UniFi over Streamyx...

I knew that they are from different department, so will the voice recorded take effect even tho I not yet sign the Streamyx contract? Will I get RM500 penalty if I wish to cancel it for UniFi installation? Because I don't want Streamyx and UniFi in my house

lol...thats a tough one...to be safe...make sure you inform streamyx team (tmpoint and email - black and white) that you are going with your initial request in having unifi.

I did ask the Streamyx Sales from TM, what if during processing, UniFi got service.. He mentioned can cancel or upgrade to UniFi.. then will automatically cancel Streamyx.

But now both running together.. confused.gif

Hi,

Simple quick question:

Looking to upgrade to unifi lately

If I want to maintain my existing fixed phone line, as my mom uses it a lot. I pay for a new line, then I merge both lines together am I right? What would be the costs to so this? And any monthly fees?

Anybody can help?

If streamyx call you, just tell them you already take UniFi. I used to have the same problem as you but I just tell them I already took UniFi when their call center call me for streamyx appointment.
