Dont know how true is this some say this router is better than Asus 68U.
Better in terms of wireless speed, yes
Better in terms of reliability & stability, hell no

seriously y my internet is slow as f**k lately.. sumtimes cant load any webpage also.. speedtest result showing only 7mpbs whereas its suppose to show 30mbps..
When you run the speedtest, did you run it wirelessly or connected directly using ethernet cable?

Connect a PC or a laptop directly to the router using an ethernet cable then run the speedtest & load the webpage again
If you have no issue when using an ethernet cable, that means the issue is with your wireless signal, not UniFi itself

What other router that allows LAN4 port to be configure?
Currently using TL-WR1043ND router, but the wireless signal has become really bad with constant disconnection.  sad.gif

mcam same spec with Asus ac66 if not mistaken..
The specs is actually more identical to ASUS RT-AC68U

There are only 4 differences between WS880 & RT-AC68U
The rest of them are the same

RAM:
RT-AC68U - 256MB
WS880 - 128MB

Antenna:
RT-AC68U - Upgradable external antennas
WS880 - Non-upgradeable internal antennas

USB Port:
RT-AC68U - 2 Ports (1xUSB 2.0 + 1xUSB 3.0)
WS880 - 1 Port (1xUSB 3.0)

Wireless Speed:
RT-AC68U - Up to 1900Mb/s
WS880 - Up to 1750Mb/s

But for the price of RM199, it's more than worth it
Better buy now before the price returns back to RM399

The dual core broadcom processor & huge coverage over standard UniFi routers (even beat some 3rd party routers) makes this router a huge bang for the buck

But at RM399, it still beats the other models around this price range, just not as affordable.
It does indeed. Even the RM600 TP-Link Archer C9 couldn't compare to this laugh.gif

What brand router is this  WS880 and where to get it for RM199.
Huawei WS880
Previously sold at Sri Computers for RM199 for stock clearance but all units has been sold
Original price were RM399

Some people said you can still buy it in Lazada for RM249, not sure if it's true or not

many technician from Unifi Suggest to choose ipv4 only
Use common sense please
The only reason why they said that is because it makes their job easier

TM's IPV6 is somehow problematic
Hence the reason why I said UniFi technician is just trying to make their job easier when they're telling customers to use IPv4 instead of IPv6

No matter how hard it is to resolve the issue, it's still their responsibility instead of telling their customers to take the easy way

they do not test for full house coverage? mohon pencerahan..
That's not their responsibility
Their responsibility is to make sure the internet works, that's it
QUOTE(cusx @ Jul 26 2016, 11:33 AM)
As an existing VIP5 user with no contract, are there any offers/perks if I choose to upgrade to the new Unifi 50 or Unifi 30 package?
No offers now. If your contract is over, call their helpline and tell them you want to terminate. Someone from the promotional team will call you back with some offers

I'm currently setting google DNS in my router as well as my laptop, and not experience any slow.
If you already change the DNS inside the router, you don't need to change the DNS on your computer anymore

oic...no wonder.

hmm...at this price, it's still expensive than maxis and time...will check the coverage for that 2 services first...
Maxis does have cheaper packages, but do some research on why so many people left Maxis Fibre to get UniFi
As bad as TM goes, they are still the best fixed broadband provider in Malaysia (Except for Time Fibre)

Time Fibre on the other hand, has very limited availability

Has anyone experienced when a phone call to my unifi VOIP number, the internet PPOE connection would get dropped?
Your UniFi is on VDSL or full FTTH?

Call TM helpline - 100, then request them to send a technician to go to your place and show them the issue
