While the TM technician in my house in this morning, I asked him about the news that VIP5 free upgrade to 10Mbps without additional charges. He said it is randomly select customer to get the upgrade, primary for those already completed their 24-months contract will be selected.  ohmy.gif
Is this true for those already received free upgrade already completed their contract? hmm.gif

My contract not yet finished  sad.gif , will hope to get free upgrade to 10Mbps after end of this year. smile.gif
*
Yes, so far those received already a subscriber for more than 24 months and with no payment issue. Yet, still selected and not all will get even if you fulfill both criteria.

QUOTE(awiekupo @ Jul 18 2016, 07:31 PM)
Hi guys, appreciate some advice if possible. Here's the situation;

1) Upgraded to 30MB unifi but rarely get 20mb. Mostly 10-15mb only on wifi.
2) Staying in small apartment (850sqf). Router is located in living room while my room is just behind the living room wall - I dont close my door at all.
3) My router sometimes restart by itself and sometimes internet connection is very slow (talking bout dload speed of 100kpbs) - I have to restart my modem/router to solve this on daily basis.
4) Called unifi technical team and they attend twice but problem recurring again after few days. One of the technician advise me to get a better router as the set that I'm using is more than 3 years old already.

My question is, what should I get to a good 30mb connection in my room? I'm using a pc with a tp-link wifi adapter connected to it in my room.

Been reading a few post and few member mentioned about Asus RT-n66u as a router replacement. Is this a good solution? My budget is around Rm700-Rm1000 to fix this issue if possible.

Many thanks in advance.

Could be also your WiFi adapter issue.
LAN OK? If that's also an issue, then pressure TM to replace router for you.

Xefron is or (was ?) a UniFi agent, so yeah. laugh.gif
Anyway, HyppTV is not an issue for me, I never install it at all. I cannot even finish those shows on my PC. I only wish everyday I have more than 24H. tongue.gif

Hi,

How long did it take for them to upgrade your speed to 30mbps?

I accepted the offer to upgrade last tuesday but till today, have yet to receive the upgrade notification.
*
Mine was just 3 days. Some got it within the same day.
You may call CS to check status.

Why the hell do you pay for myiptv? I use TurboBox TV to watch astro channels. One time payment and you will be able to enjoy astro forever.
*
What if the TV Box has problems and the company closed down? Then no need to watch already?

To kebeckham: Probably around one month.

To fruitie: Impossible. They have customer not just from Malaysia only, but also from HK, China, JP, S.Korea, U.S, etc.
*
Nothing is impossible. Too many IPTV companies suddenly closed down and left customers with an unusable box unless you can flash it to be your own Android Box then at least something eventually.
Maybe will need to monitor further to know if it is reliable?

Guys, can i remove the RM40 Ruby Pack from my UnifiAdvance 30mbps ?

I logged in the portal and went in this "modify bundle", where i saw a remove button beside the RM 40 Ruby pack.
*
Nope. You cannot detach a HyppTV package from your Advance plans, it comes together. You will face error if I'm not wrong.

Guys, i have setup google DNS server for IPV4 in my router configuration page. Do i need to do the same for IPV6 connection? Please enlighten me.
*
I thought if you intend to use IPv6, then just need to input in IPv6? At least that was what I did.

If put both DNS address for IPV4 and IPV6. Will it do any different? Sorry i'm quite noob on this.
*
My guess is it makes no difference unless you input in IPv4 but you enable IPv6, I don't think it is activated for IPv6.

I did mine in router.

same DNS address on IPv4 and IPV6?
*
Nope. IPv4 is the usual 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 while IPv6 is longer starts with 2001.

Yeah, many have received by batches. I also got mine some time back, just change lo. It is for fire protection if I'm not wrong.
You know Malaysia, if it is not serious, they won't simply change for you. Some more from TM, so rare right? laugh.gif

OK, good for you then and thanks for the information. smile.gif

Well, this kind of IPTV is illegal (free Astro channels), so yeah try to minimize such discussion here as we don't support piracy. smile.gif

BTW off topic a bit..your DL only 28Mbps problem...is it solved or you still getting 28 instead of 32/33Mbps?
*
Not solved. sad.gif TM said no problem, so long not below 24Mbps. The technician came and refused to acknowledge the problem though I argued I used to get 32-33Mbps. He said I was lucky to get that speed earlier. sleep.gif
OK lo, I said you guys win already. Now I just wish it drops to below 24Mbps. rolleyes.gif
