putting an promotion period are basically umobile marketing tactics which not wanna antagonize other telco players (if say it is now offering this new package). their promotion plan always get 'extended', why, bcoz other telcos also react then.


me too. i'm on p70 plan now, forseeing umobile would add more quota and got unlimited video onz. so no hurry go for p98 yet. otherwise it makes prepaid umi50 more worthy.

I agree with the opinion of "extended" marketing tactic/gimmick but Umobile have been antagonizing other telcos for the past 2 years. We wouldn't be seeing lower rates and better internet plans if not for the antagonized telcos.

anyway, nothing from stopping you from finishing the 1GB HS quota within 10 days or even 1 hour. Also, you could get 4 or 5 sims and topup RM5 each monthly to get 4GB or 5GB ...

In fact, the minimum top up to use the free 1GB is RM10. With the latest UMI offers, the economics versus mafanity of this multi sim practice may be questionable these days.

I just switched to the U-moble prepaid pack and I changed my mobile network to U-Mobile, APN to their settings, enabled data, etc...

I live in PJ with full signal, its H+ like always and downloading 5MB application takes 10-20 mins. Am I missing something here?
