Seems like UMobile's network is still not so stable. Had mix reviews from many users. Some positive, some negative but most were that the network is still not very stable and coverage is still not as good. Dropped calls are a common problem. Still considering whether to switch over.

Yeah, I bought a prepaid and when I try to call 1318 CS, I couldnt get through during day time. Only got through in the middle of the night. I heard the queue at their Centres also are usually long and tedious.

Typical "Berjaya Group" style of business. Understaffed and overworked. Dont take it out on the CS. Not all their fault.

Agreed. A lot of thing can be avoided if they give proper training and information to their staff and dealer. After talking to the counter staff, I felt that some of them do not know their stuff. Basically no proper knowledge to handle situation.

SK Telecom(U Mobile roaming partner) had arguably the best coverage around South Korea, so no worries about it.
Unstable data connectivity is totally expected since U Mobile network congestion is pretty terrible right now.

every half year they would introduce something new, and latest news would be announced during January dealer conference dinner.
Honestly the market is getting more and more competitive and therefore our benefit is getting cut off for more advertising, promotion and upgrading the coverage and signal, but what drives me to support it for 6 years ( even though i got part time sell sell C and D la in case really not in umobile converage )
is how they always take initiative on new things, and response on competitors action

then use either P70 or digi 80 also suffering ( need to buy booster probably )

if weekdays use 12gb weekend 3gb then p70 suit nicely la
same to digi 80 if weekend use more ( not forgeting about the 7gb youtube video onz for p70 )

they are good not to launch unlimited burung hantu actually, too many people abuse to use it and make the network congest. they consider their network bandwidth , not like umobile, just let people in and dont even care the network congest problem.

ps , all just my opinion , i just say the truth. been using umobile for so many years,  no doubt their marketing strategy is awesome but not service quality.

It's the same like how you receive sms or call over here, free.
And Wifi calling is chargeable if you send sms or call out at MALAYSIA LOCAL rate.

The sim is a way to detect what network you are on even with WiFi.

I don't think it works without sim.

Just wanna share something. I tried looking around for an app to block ads everywhere on Android. Tried Ad Block Plus, but didnt work quite well.

Then I found Ad guard. It used local VPN, I don't know what's the difference between that and normal VPN. But u mobile line has become faster and no ads anywhere on my phone.

Typically I would only get 10mbs, but now I get 30mbs. I tried other VPN services before like psiphon and Opera VPN, but u mobile seemed to be able to detect them and throttled the speed.

So yeah, if anyone's interested. Have a go at ad guard. It's not available on play store, as Google blocks all adblocking apps on the store. But just download the apk from its website.
