How can I connect to U Mobile’s 4G LTE service? Will there be a subscription fees for 4G LTE service? How long does it take to activate the service?
If you are on any of the eligible plans, you will need to either initiate the one-time opt-in by texting LTE ON to 28118 or attempt to connect to 4G LTE service within U Mobile’s 4G LTE coverage area. There is no subscription fee for our 4G LTE service and activation is within 24 hours. A standard charge of 5 sen/SMS is applicable.

you can private me ur number to check whether your num is 4G ad or no.

y u need to think? coverage? or quota?

No need to go centre to enable international roaming for prepaid.
but make sure u have sufficient credit to enable data...
for example, Rm10 for 12 countries, RM36 for others.
But im not sure the minimum credit required...

tat area also dun have digi tower...
are u guys protest to dun wan telco tower there?!

u know how data roaming works?

The data either can be routed by
1) Ur phone ---> roaming partner ---- > internet

2) Ur phone ----> roaming partner ------ > umobile ----> internet


most of the telco using 1) as no trust between operator, which mean every month roaming partner will bill umobile for RMxxxx due to UM user roam to their network.
UM cannot verify as no billing on its own network..

So here comes 2) option,
EVERY BITS of ur data will be route from roaming partner to u mobile via a server/company, BUT, limited bandwidth until today.. PnC cannot tell the bandwidth but u will be shocked AS the trunk is shared by whole roaming partner ... which mean those roaming at every country will send to the same trunk/link and back to umobile

everyone at oversea -----> every roaming partner -----(limited bandwidth) ----> umobile ---> internet

can u imagine the link is even worse than u grab capacity with other ppl within a telco tower? and u still need to fight with ppl using LTE and U mobile VIP

5s can get UM LTE. but i think depends on model also, malaysia set shouldnt be problem

700 sites only is not because budget.
Is because it is impossible to have 1k per year.
Every new site has to go thru do many department and government department and landlord and publicity nearby.
The ceo did a joke last year (1k) and he admit the wrong this year with only 700 sites for projection.
And thank god we seems archieve the target. 400 new sites in the 1H 2016.

Also, network congestion is not due to network issue.
Please blame on marketing strategy.
Free utube? Please expect lower speed for other usage.
Impo next time marketing strategy comes out an unlimited data plan, still want to blame network that we din expand our sites/coverage?

5mhz for 4g 900mhz is actually nth much. Better aim for 700mhz like digi's desperate..

Btw, y u say 2g is dead? Do u know digi maxis celcom still having congestion on their 2g sites?

u mobile know this, they say this is one of their marketing strategy

U can buy umi plan before ur acc is expired, so u can use the data only during expire period.
But cannot make calls.
I think this is the only way to utilize ur credit.
Day 1 reload 30
Day 29 buy umi 20/30
Day 58 reload 30
So u will only require rm 60 to use data for 90 days..??
