current rm30 prepaid user, consider to upgrade to postpaid 98

few question

-have contract? how long?
-any advance payment?
-breakdown of 30gb quota, can do tethering?
-30gb quota got time limitation? (such as peak time limit, etc2)

I ported out from CELCOM to UMOBILE at a dealer's shop this morning. Normally how long does it take for the SMS to confirm my request?

Usually within 24 hours after submission of MNP

- nope, whole day

can upgrade from prepaid to postpaid with me with slightly charge, postpaid upgrade simply call 018 3881318

celcom no need to reply any confirmation sms, so should be done in 1 day
if rejected normally due to

1. oustanding
2. supp /main line should ported out together
3. contract

I'm considering getting a prepaid sim as my house streamyx sometimes very poor. How do you guys max the value for prepaid 3g data? like when to top up, when to subscribe umi?

just my advise for those who wish to port to u mobile, normally it takes longer to port from postpaid to another telco as they need to check from both side whether your bill has been settled or not. what you can do is change from postpaid to prepaid at the same telco which is very fast as they can do it on the spot to settle the bill etc, and from prepaid, you can port to other telco anytime as those are your money, whether credit burn or not they doesn't care~

postpaid need go to counter, prepaid can buy sim card and port yourself online.
booster is 1.5GB for 3 days @ RM10 for postpaid, prepaid is just 1GB.

The Huawei P9 package worth meh? need to pay RM76 for 24 months rite? it's RM1824 as compare to the RRP shown RM1973.06, which is only RM149.06 savings but need to tie for 24 months contract... Not worth...
