QUOTE(alexkos @ Jun 13 2016, 07:25 PM) hi...i want to ask... im currently using u28 postpaid. I'd like to upgrade to p70 hero plan. Question: how to do it? Apparently the service center in my area, the boss went out, and the employee don't know how to do it. I'd like to ask if there's any alternative. Thank you Try call to upgrade. Btw, anyone know how to do port forwarding on U Mobile? Need IT expert from U Mobile as their customer service just give me an answer "We are regret that we are unable to provide the service..." This is unacceptable as Maxis and other Telco was able to assist the customer to open port for CCTV/alarm etc.

i think they will revise the RM98 plan as webe is going to destroy the market with RM79/month for TM/P1 users... Hopefully they make everything unlimited with P70, even though they might limit the speed at 2Mbps or 4Mbps, that's very much enough to download loads of stuff~

QUOTE(xzilem @ Jul 1 2016, 05:31 AM) U-Mobile website already updated with the new plan. So how to upgrade from P70 to P98 without going to centre? Hopefully they will revise again because they didn't see that coming (webe RM79 unlimited stuff), cos now there is no "Buy Now" button next to it. I also notice that the Unlimited Video ONZ for P70 will be limited to 7GB after 31 July 2016... But another 7 channels made available as well~ Let's see how it goes after 31 July 2016 as i might use my brother's streamyx account to subscribe webe RM199 - RM60 - RM60 if u mobile don't want to revise their plan in time to fight against TM domination~

QUOTE(CnY Garage @ Jul 1 2016, 12:43 PM) of course, many ppl do that. can subscribe with me too I'm doing it with using a phone as my home phone, wifi hotspot to wifi repeater, then the wifi repeater connect to the main wifi router through lan, in this way i can still freely use my phone to call out while i'm still able to surf net with others (don't use LTE as when incoming or outgoing calls, you will lose the data connection)

QUOTE(izwanikhsan @ Jul 1 2016, 03:51 PM) if use the simcard in broadband modem, if i open youtube on my laptop, will it use VIDEOONZ data or the mobile quota? yes, i'm using phone as modem to router and share among all device. Watching youtube has limited speed 1.5Mbps which you will see 192kBps (8 bits = 1 Byte, 1M = 1024k) shown on your phone.

QUOTE(skullz) @ Jul 1 2016, 04:23 PM) I'm trying to port out from Celcom to U-Mobile and have been rejected twice! Reason given is that I have a sup line. But both times I'm porting out my principal + sup line from celcom to U-Mobile P50 + Member 10 line. Anyone faced this issue before? I have no contract or outstanding payments with Celcom.. Port your celcom sup number to u mobile main number 1st, then port your celcom main number to u mobile sup number or main number if this is not allow, then only convert your previous u mobile number to your sup number.

QUOTE(huaweie5830 @ Jul 1 2016, 08:59 PM) Anyone successfully converted to p98 by now ? Mine still on old plan..... if P70 15GB is more than enough for you, don't change to P98 first, because when webe come out with RM79/month for TM/P1 users for everything unlimited, sure P98 is a scrap plan, they will either upgrade P70 or come out with P78~

QUOTE(JJKTP @ Jul 3 2016, 07:34 AM) I see. 4G coverage aside, how much is the data we are talking about? Do bear in mind that my usage for the plan (be it UM or Yes) is almost exclusive for iflix and the like. UM currently offer free unmetered data for iflix and others. With that in mind, which plan do you think better suit my usage patern? Thank you in advance. PS: Btw, which Yes plan are we looking at here? And how long has you been using it?. But i don't dare to subscribe Yes because their plan got 24 months contract and need to pay the full 24 months before you can terminate your line if you are not satisfied... Unlike P1 is just one time fee RM200 and nothing from U Mobile~

QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Jul 4 2016, 01:14 PM) do u meant yes98 got 2 years contract? where did u get the info from? I cant find it on their site i'm not sure with the new LTE plan, but as i know the postpaid plan is combined LTE + broadband and if you get the free device from broadband plan, sure you will have the 24 months contract period.

to clear some people mind that video apps or browser using mobile quota or video onz, u mobile will detect the website that the data is consuming, since youtube is under google, some other apps like google play store or google video are also consuming video onz quota, if you don't believe u can try download stuff from google play store and check your mobile data/video ONZ, observe which 1 is consuming~

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jul 5 2016, 08:58 AM) Thank you sirs. Here is my data plan: UMI20 (expires 30Jul) Balance 1.42GB Video-onz Bal 429.06MB Free high speed internet (next reset date 16 July ) Bal 428.36MB Currently, data is consumed from UMI20. I'm puzzled why the usage of free high speed internet stopped at bal 428.36MB and I think I'm going waste it before the next reset on 16jul coz my data usage is not that high. try use OS like MIUI, you can check which apps is consuming data all the while and the real time speed as well (like windows task manager). i also found out that recently wechat is consuming high data usage as well and i need to logout to avoid this.

QUOTE(johnconnor @ Jul 16 2016, 07:18 PM) I don't think this is true, because I stream 720-1080p videos and I am still using my video onz quota 480p is just the quality for smooth streaming at 1.5Mbps or 192KBps (1 Byte = 8 bits), you still can stream at 720p or 1080p or 2160p but must pause for it to download first to have a smooth streaming without buffering~

guys just for sharing, 3G is more better than 4G if you are using U Mobile as your home broadband as incoming/outgoing call will automatically switch the network to 3G if you are in 4G network, thus causing internet interruption... wait until they support VoLTE then only this type of problem won't happening.
