Hi guys,
Need your opinion,
which model is better?
Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.2" or Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML ?

Zenfone 2 got 4GB RAM while Zenfone 3 only 3GB RAM.
Is it okay if i run 10 apps at the same time for 3GB RAM? or is it depend on processor?

and will my battery life last longer if i use Zenfone 2 as it has bigger screen and only 3000 mAH?

Thank you

I would suggest the Zenfone 3 Max.
Pros of Zenfone 3 Max :
Significantly better battery life
Better software support (higher chance of newer android and updates)
Got decent fingerprint scanner
More premium built, better to hold

Pros of Zenfone 2 :
4GB RAM
Faster CPU
Faster GPU
Full HD Screen (1080p resolution)
Possibly better primary camera overall

You're joking right? Zenfone 3 Max is the crappiest of the crap.
It uses MTK chipset performing way worse than SD625. SD625 already a crappy chipset. You're suggest even worse chipset of all. You need to get your brain check if you're going to buy Zenfone 3 Max.

Thank you for your feedback...
Now i'm in dilemma.. as Asus Zenfone 3 max 5.2" using quad-core processor (same as my old samsung j3) which i find lagging during multitask.
But then when I look at 5.5" which use octa-core... people been compare it with xiaomi redmi note 3 or 4...

really can't make up my mind

How much is your budget?
Because the 5.5" is around RM900 which is quite far from the RM700 of the 5.2" one.

If such is the case, then I would suggest the 5.5" rather than the 5.2" model. Else, maybe Xiaomi Mi Max could be an option.

yeah. i thought that too. would 5.5" give significant battery consumption than 5.2"?

Well, it should consume more power since it comes with bigger screen, higher resolution screen, and a better SOC(CPU + GPU). But it also comes with bigger battery, so, I think the power consumption should be better with the 5.5" version. Do check reviews though, it might help.

with your budget 1k below, if you dont mind to use other than Asus, you may try out Redmi Note 4 that have similiar spec with the zenfone 3 ze552kl

running with SD625, 4GB of ram and 64storage and with 4k li-po battery which i think is acceptable price

SD625 is not crappy, i'm using ze552kl and it totally more then enough for me daily use, i even can play alphart 8 with no stuttering, the battery can hold for 1.5 day which is really nice.

*MTK CPU may not so suggested, so my2cents, dont get zenfone 3 max

Hurm...maybe you can switch to manual and adjust the shutter speed faster. This should prevent the object from being blurred in the picture.

No, ZF3 has 3 way auto focus. first in the world. Should lock quite fast. Mine does.

Mine too. Maybe his subject is moving too fast suddenly that the auto mode wasn't able to adjust the autofocus?
