Yeah, Asus isn't really well known for their phones, the first model Zenfones actually sold pretty well over here, but it does make a bad impression of having really low battery performance. Then came the 2nd generation with better battery performance but lacks built quality and great display. Now the third comes with great battery and great screen, even great camera but the launch price increase made people push it aside because base on their experience, it was not that good before with lower price, now with higher price, it simply becomes worse.

Yup Zenfone 5 was cheap below 800 and was sold everywhere. I prefer Zenfone 552KL over Redmi note 3/4 cause of the camera and OS which is similar to Samsung's.

Same specs as Zf3 but 2000+ casue of the zoom camera. Havent seen any reviews of the camera yet so i dont know if its That good, compared to galaxy S7

Wait review about the camera. But I do think it's not really the best phone at the price. Since both the 5.2" and 5.5" Zenfone 3 has dropped in price, Asus should launch this around RM1699 to make it more interesting.

with that price and SD625, you can get better phone elsewhere

The dual camera set up is like iphone not P9/10. One for Zooming. So yeah too pricey.

From browsing around the internet, I found out that :
Screen is upgraded -> (IPS LED) to (AMOLED)
Battery is upgraded -> (3000mAh) to (5000mAh)
Rear Camera is upgraded -> (16MP F2.0) to (12MP F1.7 1.4 µm pixel size + 12MP F2.8 Zoom Lens)
Front Camera is upgraded -> (8MP F2.0) to (13MP F2.0 1.12 µm pixel size)
Gorilla Glass probably upgraded -> (GG 4?) to (GG 5)

With this much added value, I can say that the price makes more sense to me, though still seems overpriced. Would be much better with an SD820.

Well our ZF3 even it has quickcharge but no point without a fast charger.. still have to buy one which i guess not many will.

Is it? But there is a review from Philippines website that it charges from low to full in 2 hours (not sure is it 0 or not). 2 hours to charge 5000mAh battery doesn't sound that bad.

Probably. I think all the Snapdragon 600 and 800 series support some kind of Qualcomm QuickCharge.
No free gifts? Maybe because it's still not officially sold in Malaysia. Better wait Asus Malaysia announced it first and see.
