It seems ASM is much easier to get than ASW & AS1M now a day.

So many people like aunty twinkle everyday try too. Don't think aunty twinkle make too much difference. Not every "aunty twinkle" join Lowyat. :)

Remember those that put the passbook and give few hundred K of cash to try until all in. As some of you reported yesterday :) These are the stronger competition.

Bank staff also try everyday when they free to topup for themself and their family & friends, because they got exclusive access to the system.

Since it now seem like not fair as some can sapu a lot, do you guys think it will be more fair if they make it such that one account can only try X number of times per day? Since ASNB also say themselves they want to make it FAIR to everyone in their tweet.

I share my observations...

Went to PNB in KL (forgot which road biggrin.gif)...got info that there is one regular white haired uncle who is regularly squating there whole day trying his luck..big shot

Another big shot is supposedly XX boss...also regularly and very very very very rich man...one more big shot

The above two only in the PNB KL leh...many many more bank branches/PNB branches nationwide doh.gif

While I see the ASB/ASB2 so easy and so leisurely transacted innocent.gif

As for restriction, from what I know since first time last week at bank branches...the teller is helping people leh... console.gif Before my turn, they said wait ah, we try first cry.gif

Also, they kinda limit me to 2-3 times/day bye.gif

Really really susah man doh.gif

Yeah even before ASNB do restriction, staff do restriction already but themself no limit. That's why I suggest ASNB limit transaction per account per day or per month.

ASW only 50% & ASM 70% to hit my personal target. You can try AS1M as I don't have much $ left after today multiple transactions of ASM.

Went to ASNB office for the Pengisytiharan Amanah thing.

Beside the registration fee of RM100 and the annual fee of RM10, surprised/shocked to learn that there is a will execution/withdrawal fee. See below. Maybe someone here has already mentioned that but my eyes and brain were not in sync then. Ha.

Attached Image

As an example, for RM0.5 million, fee of RM3875. What do we gain from this registration and paying the RM3875 fee? Is it worth it?

Beside getting the money distributed as per the instruction (with new ASX accounts if nominees do not have ASX) and settled within 21 days, I do not really see the need to have this done now. The lady there said with "dispatch letter" from the resident office (hope I remember correctly the document name here), the money will be transferred to the spouse within 6 weeks.

So, what are the other real drivers/benefits for having this will thing? Maybe I have overlooked something very important here. Please share/help.

Thanks.

No such thing as free lunch lol

It's administrative fee...based on percentage (can refer to website for more info)

Hmm, not sure a will would be cheaper than this though...

Will covers many assets while this is just ASNB funds. So will cost is more worthwhile to me.

EPF has this beneficiary thing too and with no charge. I have made some changes recently and also no charge. Bagus! Ha.

Just checked through Amanah Raya website...also charges based on percentage leh...not sure same or higher

Amanah Raya:
4% for first 25k
3% for next 225k
2% for next 250k
1% for next 500k
0.5% for remaining balance

Your family will get the money in units form. So they don't need to go hunting for units when you are not around anymore. If you use will, they will receive cash. I agree the execution/withdrawal fee is too high.

On first look, yes, good that they transfer the money in ASNB units to the beneficiaries. With that line of thinking then, the money will stay in ASNB from 1 generation to next, to the next, to the next next ... Ha.

But how good will ASNB's performance be in 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 yrs time?

My family may have a better investment vehicle than ASNB by then. Hope so.

Still thinking, still trying to decide .......

Does anyone know how to make a deposit of more than 50k into ASB from a Maybank account, i was told that maybank counters are limited to 50k per day transition limit...

Whats the best way to deposit more than 50k into an ASB account at one time?
(for example: can you get a cheque from maybank in your name for more than 50k and walk into Amanah Saham Branch and deposit into your ASB account?)

Put into your maybank account. Then direct debit from your maybank account. smile.gif
